[Howdy]

Howdy, does anyone here like dubstep? If so, please share one of your favorite dubstep songs in a reply :3

Lol, I liked this stuff I think before it was called Dubstep. A South London band called The Prodigy, back in the 90's had this sound. The band is still together I believe though I think their next album they said will not be dubstep. Not sure you could ever say they were true dubstep, but they had this sound pretty much. Their song I liked the most was Smack My B**ch Up.

But yeah, I have a few older songs from this genre I guess that could be classified as this, that I love to game(pvp) and work out to.

I wouldn't say the prodigy is Dubstep, but i can see where you're coming from.

You should check out Bankai - he does remixes of bleach and other stuff, it's great

The Prodigy isn't dubstep. Their music is more a mix of rave, electro and drum&bass, I think. Well, I know their older songs are sort of like rave since their earliest released songs (think Charly as an example) was from around the time when Ridge Racer became popular, and Ridge Racer had a LOT of rave music and a lot of the Prodigy's older music share the same sort of tones and sampling.

Think artists like Fatboy Slim and the Chemical Brothers - all from the same area, and all with the same or similar genre of music. Those guys don't do dubstep either.


That said, I actually like dubstep providing it's (mostly) instrumental. I don't have that many songs though, I have the odd songs from artists like Ultrablack and Noisestorm; there's a Skrillex song on Ridge Racer Unbounded that's my favourite song in the game (but unfortunately having been performed by Mr. Hipster Brony any usage of the song on Youtube even as part of a game's smegging soundtrack gets the video insta-blocked which is a stupid as hell fail on Google's part >_> but I digress.)

As Ranshiin wrote, The Prodigy is not dubstep.
They've never made any dubstep tune ad I highly doubt they ever will.
