Almost any anime you watch, you will find usually at least one of the main characters (or at least important secondary characters) seems to have a romantic attraction to another character of the same gender. It's a bit creepy that Japan seems to have such a fascination with homosexuality.
Of course it's also possible that I'm reading it wrong due to my lack of understanding of Japanese culture. Maybe they don't really feel romantically attracted, just very very very good friends, at a level that would seem to westerners to be "homo" for people of the same gender because such friendship is normally associated with hetero relationships between people of opposite gender, but is acceptable in Japanese culture as normal just being "really good friends" and not quite as strong as an actual romantic relationship.
Can someone here please explain?
