Have you ever been betrayed/backstabbed?

Lately, I feel like I can't trust anyone. See, I have a "friend" who I never really got along with but was still nice to, even though I didn't like her, just because she happened to know my boyfriend. She was around all the time and it got really annoying for me.

Despite my efforts to try and be her friend, I eventually grew tired of these useless attempts, since I always had a feeling she was being fake to me, or just really two-faced. I really hated how she had a bad attitude all the time and was rude to me for no reason.

One day, when I thought we were friends the two of us had "girly talk" and I confided in her about something very personal, which turned out to be a huge mistake because she couldn't keep her mouth shut and word got out about my secret. It caused me a lot of distress and almost ruined my relationship.

So, my question is, have you ever been betrayed in an unforgivable way like me? Did it end up being a huge mess? Are you still hurt by their actions? I know I am :\

If not, is there someone you know who is really fake or two-faced?

Hmmm maybe I'm lucky or stupid, but I wonder if a lot of the guys here haven't been backstabbed.

Not that guys aren't jerks. I've had situations one might consider backstabish, especially in the context of competition or work. But it wasn't like these were friends I trusted not to do that sort of stuff. So I guess I'd consider that, I don't know, getting stabbed in the front or something.

Oh...excuse me...allow me to elaborate more for your amusement. 3 yrs ago, found out my fiance' of 3 yrs. was/had cheated on me before and while engaged. Some how it was my fault, 6 yrs down the drain, and the death of part of me. Some things should never be shared.

Maybe I should have been more specific because obviously you people take things too literally, I wanted you to describe a time when you have been stabbed in the back, if you feel comfortable doing so. I would like to be able to relate to those with similar experiences, willing to share them. Thank you.

Well, I have been backstabbed multiple times throughout my life.
Even now this minute I know I am being backstabbed by someone, somewhere. (I am not paranoid, I just know it.)

For example: Once I had a very important homework due, I helped a girl get perfect on her homework. When I needed help on the same homework from her:

She fell asleep on me.

Tragic.

I'd say when I was in middle school, this girl made another girl I was friend's with ... dislike me (and a small bunch..)

because, apperantly I had said something about them behind their backs, which to be honest, when I was in middle school I was mostly focused on drawing then gossiping about people around me... ._.
well, in the end the girl who disliked me, ended up being friends with me, and yeah then she moved and I never heard of her again, as for the one who spread the lies, she's still around, and I somewhat feel stalked... because whenever I change a school I see her there... 3 months later... ._.

Sure.. I've been best friends with someone for nearly 7 years. Though after 2 years of knowing them they moved away from where I lived, didn't change anything. Well a few months ago he decided to date his FWB girl who she's been two timing with her baby daddy. I supported him against my moral will but he's my friend, whatever, helped him when he was in need. Well after a while I stop hearing from him. After a month we're conveniently on MW3 at the same time and started chatting. He told me his gf wouldn't let him talk to me. It felt like a stab in the back. I do all this for you and not talking to me anymore was my payback.

Plus one friend would steal from me :/ She is waaaay out of my life though. I don't take kindly to sticky fingers.

I mean in my limited experience it seems like females get backstabbed a lot more often than guys.

In some kind of a way, I have been and had been in different ways, too. I think it was more of "being used to feel better" kind of deal for most people.
Now, these people I've been with had short comings in their life so I gave them friendship and kindness that they never had and used it to their advantage, treated me badly as years progress until now. They forgotten about me, hardly talk to me, etc. It was worse finding out one of those people was a forum user just like me ended up stealing my artwork claiming they've done things. It hurts so much you know? I honestly wish I was not a part of their life otherwise I wouldn't feel that way. So, I moved on because I believe someone else wouldn't do horrible things to me. I have no time to please them, I want to please a certain someone in my life; God. Hehe, right...? He's worth everything and He doesn't backstab me. Heh, funny to say I still forgive them but I want nothing to do with them.

He was sleeping around in his home town while I was spending all my allowance to call him, thinking we were in love. It broke my heart when I found out, I felt like a stupid kid.
Then a few years after that I was with someone else - my 1st REAL love. I told a friend how much I really cared for him, and how happy I was.... and she went and slept with him. After that she had to leave school cos my friends were threatening her.

That's really horrible. :/ But it's good that your other friends are backing you up.

As for me, I know I've been backstabbed before, but I just don't care. One time, a friend said to me that a friend that I thought was my friend said bad things about me, I can't remember what, that was a long time ago. But I'm still friends with my backstabber friend, just not as close as I was before the incident.

I know in life there will be people who will bring us down, so I try not to get too close to other people, let alone trusting them with any of my secrets.

YES! People confuse me and sometimes tend to use me and I don't notice. I always try to make people happy. Sometimes for the wrong reasons as they tempt me to do those things. Then I know what I did was a little wrong and fell betrayed that they only wanted me for that one thing!

I'm shure that i have bean back-stabbed before but i dont remember, most likley i just pretended it never happened or maybe blocked it from memory. Hmm.. I wonder what secrets can be buried in my mind.

I had a friend that I was friends with from when we were kids to teenagers.
We started to naturally grow apart, but there was something that made me completely stop talking to her.
When we started to hang out with her cousins more, I began to start liking her guy cousin.
She would tell me things that made it seem like he liked me, but he actually didn't like me at all.
She told him that I liked him, and he began to act like he liked me.
He told me that he liked me, and we started going out.
It was all just a joke between them; a bet to see if he could get all the way with me.
He was my first boyfriend and the first guy that I kissed.
When I kissed him for the first time, that is when I found out that it was all a joke.
I kissed him with some mint lip balm on, and I guess he didn't like it, because he said, gross!
I felt so embarrassed and felt horrible inside when he said that.
Then he wanted me to do some provocative things, and I said no and that I should get going.
I said that, because I didn't feel ready at all to do those things, and I felt so mortified after hearing him say that my first kiss was gross.
Then he said, yea, go! I only got 20 bucks out of you from my cousin so far anyways! You're so gross and ugly! I can't last any longer with you!
I didn't say anything. I just slammed the door and left while crying home in the pouring rain outside that day.

Honestly, I've had some of the worst luck in the world when it comes with making friends, socializing, and people in general, because I've had plenty of unfortunate things happen to me in my life with having to do with those kind of things.
I could go on and on about how I've been backstabbed.

I still have compassion for humanity, though.
Because of the things that have happened to me, it has made me more concerning and caring towards people.
I want to join the Peace Corps in few years and help people out.
I just hate seeing people struggle and feel so unhappy with their lives with it having to do with the environment that they have to unfortunately live in and deal with.
I don't want people to feel worse or as unhappy as I used to feel with my life.
I want to give people hope, faith, and strength, so that they can feel happy and proud of themselves, so that they can get through the challenges they face daily in their lives and still have happiness within themselves.

I have many times, many people would pretend to be my friends only to publically humiliate me, tell everyone my secrets, and spread rumors about me, I never had a real friend IRL until I moved here.
Even people online did this to me, and then they'd diss me and tell me to kill myself under the guise of anonymous, they'd reveal my private grozit and tell everyone about my life.
I've had property destroyed, I've had ADULTS do this to me, grown people spreading rumors about me and telling me what a waste of life I was.

This has turned me very bitter, but my girlfriend is helping me, she's really great. I still don't go out or anything though with fear I'll be made a fool of or abandoned somewhere by them.

You were being naive. Children have the thought that "everyone's being cheated on, except me". I had to found that out the hard way, too.

And she did that because you told her? What a tramp. It's also very bad that he just had sex with her, as I'm sure you can say "no", even as a guy. I'm speaking out of personal experience.

Oh well, my story.. I was in 10th grade, aged 14, and a friend of mine had a girlfriend. I met her, happy happy, we became friends. When their relationship ended several months later, she "liked" me. I didn't know how to react at first, so I went along with it. Well, what do you think happened, 3 weeks later I found out through a classmate that she had used me to get my friend back. I was deeply crushed, like someone had ripped out my heart and fried it on the BBQ. When I went to school the next day, I told my class, and everyone, really, everyone sympathized with me. Whenever the girl in question was seen in the hallway, words like "tramp" and "{word meaning one who engages in sexual acts for financial compensation has been redacted}" and other vulgar language was swinged through that same hallway. It felt good that my class stood up for me. You know who your friends are in times of desperation, I guess.

It made me feel better about myself knowing I'm not the only one who has been deeply hurt by someone. As for those who did not, shame on you! We all know you don't care and are just trying to get your post count up. Go be pointless on some another forum :P
