SONY Cyber-shot Test

Hey, sorry I haven't been taking photos for a while.
So I got this cute pink SONY Cyber-shot camera in advantage for my birthday.
Ofcourse I had to try it out right away, haha. This is the result:





Ok, so I tried all kinds of stuff: (self)portrait, landscape and close-up.
I'm really surprised with the results from this camera.
It has 16.1 megapixels and you cannot forget to mention a Carl Zeiss lens.
There are two things I'm not satisfied about so far:
1. You cannot control flashing
2. All photos seem a little too dark on pc screen

Ofcourse this is not high-technique photography, I'm aware.
I'm used to install all settings on a camera myself, so this is all new to me!

I think they look pretty good! The flower shots are my favorite and I especially love the lilypad one. I'm just now getting into photography. It's so much fun -^.^-

2. All photos seem a little too dark on pc screen

Do you mean the photos that you posted here, or are these ones edited for exposure? Because if these are the unedited photos that came out of your camera, the exposure looks spot on to me. My monitor is calibrated for print and as such always tends to show darker than most screens, so if the images were underexposed then it would definitely look underexposed to me.

No, I had to edit them all in photoshop. They looked fine on my camera screen, just like you see them now.
However, on my pc screen, they were horribly dark, like 2 steps too dark.
And yeah, I'm a photographer as well, ofcourse my screen is calibrated. I know the effects of that.
My boyfriend who works at the shop I got it from claims that I can install the ISO.
So I think finding that on the camera itself will be my next challenge! xD
Now I know why I used to hate compact cameras, haha.
