Notting but other people life's moving on
I'd say depends on the individual person. If they have things left undone they may stay an earth bound spirit till they get done what they want. Or another reasion a person might not go on is for pleasers like sex, alcohol,or drugs
live life to the fullest because you are not guarantied a tomorrow
I'm a Christian. I believe if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior and have asked God for forgiveness of your sins, you will be forgiven of all past and future sins, and that when you die you will go to heaven. I believe if you have NOT accepted Jesus Christ as your savior you are not forgiven for any sins you have committed, and we have all sinned, so we will be going to hell without salvation. The only exception to this I can think of is if you happen to have an untimely death and died as a very young child before you had committed even one sin, then you will go to heaven. In a variety of verses in the Bible, Jesus calls on us to be innocent like little children, and the only way of course to achieve that is by salvation through believing in Jesus Christ and his death and resurrection. Remember Jesus was no ordinary person, He was the of God Himself taken human form when he was on the earth. He is both God and the Son of God, and has existed, still exists, and will forever exist. And it is through Him alone that we can have our sins forgiven.

Hasn't consciousness been described to merely be chemicals interacting in our brains?
I don't understand why people actually believe in this stuff anymore. Well, I do understand the want for an afterlife, just not actually believing it.

The Walking Dead happens.
Hmm... this thread could get deep...
Since I believe that all matter is neither created out of nothing nor destroyed into nothing, I'd like to think that my spirit will by chance enter a reproductive cell and give life to another person.
Well you become part of another being, because eventually you'll break down along with your coffin and seep into the soil and part of your remnants will assist a tree in growing which in time assist something else in living and so on.
I believe our spirit returns to the Earth and ergo the cycle of life. I don't believe in manmade gods, but I absolutely believe we all have a soul and spirit. The atmosphere you get from a church is real for me, tho I simply believe it is our own spirit reaching out and filling the air rather than it being some god. Tho i do believe a god of the universe may exist; i just don't believe in the manmade ones.
In the words of kaito from a no de matseruI believe that people move on and live as other memories
I believe in life after death, as in there's heaven and hell. Of course everyone's aiming for heaven, I am, too. Hopefully.

The person that you are now is not the person that I used to know. You're becoming a stranger that I've never met before. Not liking the change though.
I believe that there is a heaven and a hell and that there will be a day of judgment by God. My view of what happens directly after death has changed after being in several theology courses and studying new and old testament verses. My belief is that when we die we go to Sheol which is a holding place before the day of judgment and when that day passes those will go to heaven and those will go to hell due to choosing Christ as their savor and salvation.
i think its like falling asleep and not dreaming. only this time it doesn't stop.
Hmmm... Been a whileSit back some time and simply ask yourself, [Link]->"Do you even lift, bro?"<-[Link]

“The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. stone crumbles. wood rots. people, well, they die. but things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.” - Chuck Palahniuk

Very. As I think childrape is still forbidden by the Bible, so no, those will go to hell as well. Hell doesn't sound that bad, aside from the torture into eternity thing. I just hope I can spend the afterlife with my friends and family, then I'll die a happy man (no pun intended :3)

I dunno...but hopefully I die a painless death.
Wait, no scratch that. I wish never to die. If I had the choice of being immortal, I would definitely choose it.
I have an irrational fear of death and the black emptiness it entails. I dont want to feel "nothing". I want to feel and know that I'm alive. Always!
If my soul can come out of my body..and I can still feel and think like I would have alive, then...I'd just wander back and forth from Heaven and Earth. Thats just...hmm I wonder how ghosts feel..can they even? What do they see?!
