"Don't worry cap," Xanthos said, "if anyone's too close, ya could just send me an' Wee Jack ta make em leave." Standing next to Noir at the ship's wheel made him swell with pride. And when Noir commented that he couldn't do it without Xanthos, the sixteen year old could have burst. Noir slapped his back with a hard, stinging slap. "Bet yer glad I convinced ya ta take me on."
