Wolf XXIII: Persona Edition

First of all, the host is @Akaruka (a.k.a. Reina). Who am I then, you might ask. I'm glad you did~ I was supposed to be the cohost/assistant, in the event that Akaruka couldn't handle all the PMs on her own since there is a 12-hour difference between her time zone and the US Eastern time zone.

We're not done with the roles yet, for one particular reason. We have no idea how many people will be participating in this game, so we want to first gauge the approximate number of players. So please post in this thread if you're interested in playing. In addition, several people have asked us to allow outside communication among Townies. I'm a little iffy on this one, but I want people to get the most fun out of it, so when you're signing up, please also include whether or not you want to allow outside communication among Townies or not. The majority rule shall apply.

So yep, the game will probably start in a week provided that enough people (10+) are interested lol. This time of the year is usually busy for most students, either academically or socially, so let's see how it'll turn out. The roles and rules will come later~ But you guys pretty much know the rules already anyway lol. (The only rule that might change is the no outside communication rule.)

But I don't know about this outside communication... Won't that just do so all townies knows who the rest of the townies are? Won't that take away the point of the wolfgame? I don't know about this... :/ Right now, before I get this a little more explanied to me, my answer is no.

I am all over a persona based game. As for outside communication, I guess I dont care much. It might bring back people like Rebel, we could maybe just make it so that you still cant role-claim with outside communication? Big rewards if someone points out someone who did kinda thing

How would the townies know who you are? For all you know you could be talking to an Independent or a Wolf. Also the games worked before with outside communication, I see no reason why the wouldn't work without it now.

I havn't been playing this game for so long (I think the last one was my 3rd one or so) so I didn't know that outside communication has been allowed before in previous games. But wasn't it a lot of talk that could just aswell been written in the thread? I am little afraid that this would make the threads even more "dead" then they sometimes can tend to be. lol.

Lol sarcasm radar. Anyway there wasn't really a problem with outside communication before as far as I could see. A pro would be it would give townies some form of privacy of what they wouldn't want to say to everybody within the thread. And I guess a con would be that no one would talk in this thread.

Like it was said before, I can't tell people how to play the game. It's not the games, it's some of the people themselves.

@RyuTama already knows though, the reason why I think the games are just so boring though. We had a decent talk about it.

Well, I appreciate being thought of, lol. And was honestly thinking about joining in. After all, have had a few people on facebook doing their best to talk me into it. BUT,, I left for a reason,,, and I see that reason has already decided to play this round so I shall have to decline.
I stated before that I don't like the strong-arming pushing people's buttons attitude some claim is a MUST for playing the game "right". And just simply see no point in playing if I can't have fun playing. After the constant abusing the last time I ever played, I think I can do without it.

Seems your post was posted WHILE I was typing mine up. So, not that I can't read it comes down to it wasn't on the screen when I started typing my post.
But hey, if you are out, then I'm in. I opt for outside communication but restricted. No role sharing, and a incentive to those who report those who DO role share. AND instant DEATH to the one role sharing.

You have to keep in mind, what you and I considered Wolf was incorrect according to Kaitou. We were playing a variation of Mafia created to adhere to rules of the forum at the time. But the modifications made made it unofficial and thus not a properly played Mafia game. And thus we really don't know how to play it "the Kaitou" way.
