Hi there. Just thought i'd start a thread where I could show you my work (not just fanart).
here is a pencil drawing of my boyfriend playing on the N64.

And here is a pencil drawing of Johnny Depp


These three are from my manga trilogy The Chronicles of Gyzra. The first two are pages from the upcoming book and the last is a poster used to promote the book.

I haven't been here in quite a while, and by a while I mean I've missed over 9000 posts (queue DBZ joke). I've had a weird year, my confidence got knocked a lot and I haven't had a lot of faith in most of my work. But I think that's starting to wear off now, my strange little artist's block is hopefully finally over.
So here is a selection of my art over the past year. (The latest image being the winged girl, Mikana). It's a mix of finished pieces, sketches, colour and black and white.
I hope you like it and from here on out my work will be continuously improving. =]

Faaantastic stuff! I envy your ability to do hair/fur correctly <3, mine always turn out odd. I've never tried working with colored pencils, but the fox looks cool.
Nothing to really critique, so I'll just stand here and admire them for a few more minutes

Your realistic ones look much better then your anime ones. For example, where's the majority of the KH inspired one's body?

Thank you Ellipsis. =] Actually the fox is drawn using ProMarkers on slightly glossy paper.
Yeah I know GameGeeks. Most of my anime stuff here is crud. It's obvious why though, I just didn't put as much time into them as I did with the realistics. I had my confidence knocked a lot last year in my anime/manga stuff and just haven't had the heart to keep improving at it, the majority of it has just been really simple character designs. I think I spent about 3 hours or something on the KH one where as I spent 7 hours on Emma Watson, splitting it over two days to perfect it. That's changing now, and the first evidence of that was the last piece of work I did which is the black and white picture of my character Mikana (the winged girl). Hopefully my new manga and anime stuff will be able to match my realistic work, I enjoy drawing manga a lot more. =]

Yeah, don't take it as knocking your work, especially since my drawing skills don't go past stick figures.

Haha no don't worry it's fine. Critisism is always a good thing, it helps me improve and I really want to! =]
The thing that knocked my confidence was from people coming to my main website and then sending messages like 'Your art sucks'. Oh well, it's the internet, what did I expect? haha =]

Just a couple quick sketches that people on my Facebook page asked for.
These are the new Pokemon Fennekin and Froakie.
Drawn with Copic fineliner, coloured with Letraset ProMarkers.
Spent about half an hour on each one. =]

Would like your opinion on this piece. It's my first time doing a sort of chibi style (I know it's not full cutesy chibi but yeah). But what do you think of the style/colouring? =] And where can I improve on it? (Apart from the cutting, because yes, my cutting out is horrific haha.)
It's a little card I made for my boyfriend for our Anniversary on the 27th Dec.

This is my latest anime piece, I just finished it.
It's been a long time since I've drawn this style and I really tried to make it look good.

She kinda ended up looking like Chii from Chobits but I didn't use any references or plan on her ending up like that.

It was just a random image I got in my head of a sweet little city girl discovering nature for the first time.

That's deliberate. =] The fox is suposed to look more 'alive' than she is. She's supposed to look kinda like a doll.
