When we went to pick up my dog, my mom took her on the passenger seat next to the driver with her :3 she hasn't been in the car ever since, but still.

Why do you all say it's disgusting, anyway? I see dogs on the passenger seat all the time. Plus, if I had to drive my dog somewhere, I'd take it on the passenger seat so I would see what it was doing ... just as long as it didn't interfere with my driving.

Depends on the law of the country you're in, I guess? Here in Belgium it's allowed.

Personally I don't have any troubles with it, as long as the dog doesn't start barking like a nut-job.

Part of it depends upon the rules and regs. of the transportaion company/department. If there weren't that many people, sure, but partially because I have small(er) dogs, and I would make them sit on a towel. (As has been said, said seats are filthy, I don't want my dog licking where Lord only knows what has been wiped on it.) Otherwise they will be on my lap or on a very short leash as that they love people. And food. Can't take things from strangers...

Sure why not. Chickens and other farm animals ride the bus with their human passengers in China.
Atleast a dog or cat is alil more domesticated.

Well, for some of us, the question is "weird" because it is something that we don't really think about. I mean, the question of whether or not its okay to have my dog sit next to me (on a bus, train, etc) kinda skips over the obvious question of whether or not my dog should be there in the first place. I have to get my dog on the bus first before I can think about whether or not he should sit next to me.

Okey, I think I understand.

Still I have comed across people who thinks very different about this question; everything from "it's okey - I do that sometimes / or It's ok, I don't mind it" to people who thinks it's freaking disgusting (because they don't want to sit where a dog have had it's... "behind" exc). So, I don't know... I felt like asking it since I have meet so many different opinions about it and therefore, atleast I, thinks it's interesting. Don't really now why, lol. ¯\(°_o)/¯

I've never seen people with animals on the public transit here o.0 I wonder if it's even allowed...

Anywho, If there's nobody to use the seat I don't see the issue with having an animal on it *shrug*
