Well I've been here for a little while now but never noticed this intro section down here until now so figured I'd say hi.

I was never big into anime until recently, had some roomates in college that were but I never got into it. Recently (well, like last summer) after getting bored of what was on netflix (I dont have cable here and dont want to pay satellite) I started randomly watching some anime and some I really liked. I was getting bored with reality shows and such, I feel like fantasy and the like helps give me that release from reality and the daily grind and lets my mind feel excited once again.

On a side note, why do my posts keep waiting for a mod to approve? Is that the norm? I can understand the first one but then after a couple that went through fine it did it again, and again, like my 3rd and 6th post but not the others? No biggie, just wondering.

As for why you keep getting told your posts need to be approved by a moderator: it's a safety catch on new users' accounts which scans them for suspicious content/spam and, if it detects it may be a 'spam' post (i.e. posted by a spambot) then it forces the post to need approval. It only affects 'junior' members (of which you are :P) and is easily falsely triggered by something as simple as a relatively long post with a few links or somesuch in it.

Eventually you'll end up in the 'regular' member group, and it'll stop bothering you =P

Thanks for the explanation Ranshiin, I'm on tons of forums and I understand new users being moderated. What threw me off was that some went through instantly and some were pending moderation, but now I see you have an intelligent filter that is triggered by certain things, so that makes sense.
