You have some pretty amazing pictures there! I have to say, I love taking pictures of the sun setting or rising. Its truly an grand view, especially when you have the right clouds in the sky. Great job!

Thats it right there. Sure, having a good camera and getting the right settings helps, but its mainly up to luck with the clouds, and being in the right place at the right time. Thanks!

Its all a big learning process for me, still experimenting and sharing with you all on the way. I've just learned some new techniques that could make a big difference, just got to wait for another good sunset and the right composition.

Just thought I'd finish out 2012 with the last few sunset pics I took during the year.





Not a spectacular picture per se but the last sunset to mark the frosty end of 2012...


And again nothing super about this sunset but had to take the first one of 2013! It was actually very cloudy today, sun was never visible through the thick layer of clouds. But then as sunset grew near, the clouds began to recede. The sun itself still never became visible but a partial clearing let a few colors sneak through.
