There's a difference between J-pop and J-Rock, j-pop is japanese pop music and the other is mostly rock. Really different.

Um, I care more about the singer and the song itself, not what genre the song falls into.

My favorite, Ogata Megumi, is probably largely pop, but I've heard rock and even rap from her. *shrug*

I like all music. ^_^ Jpop is a favorite of mine. ^_^ It's really good music. I don't listen to a lot of American music these days. I just don't. Jpop has awesome variety and I enjoy listening to it.

I cant really answer this as i listen to j-pop and heavy metal/rock in moderation, it all really depends on he mood of the person i think ^^ right now im feeling like some heavy metal but later tonight its gonna be j-pop
