Can you be unhappy with gifts?

People shouldn't be so greedy. The world would be a much happier place.

Well, there's always the itchy sweater your aunt gave. Then there's the gifts from relatives that still think your 8 when you're 17.

It doesn't have to be because of the person that gave it or the item that it is. It could be a gift that came without extras stated on the box; a stuffed animal with bad seams and no one around to sew it; or something that was falsely advertised and is far less than what you expected.

It is possible to answer "yes, you can be unhappy with gifts", but it doesn't mean it'll last. That's what receipts are for. Family members can be understanding.

I'm happy with what I get. I'd laugh if its a toy I'll enjoy it if it was a teddy. I'd love it if its a joke.

I never have been, but if I can tell that they're making fun of me or intentionally trying to force me to be somebody I'm not, than I will not be appreciative of them, period.

However, since I've never had to put up with that, I appreciate all gifts I get and would never think otherwise.
