Also I am going to have to side with Konkulf on this "debate"; your thread title and OP don't state the character -has- to be important to the story. Often, the most minor of characters tend to be the more popular, and you're overlooking the fact that many characters start out unimportant to the story, but become more involved as it progresses.

That's all I'm going to say. I don't want to be handing out warnings.
