    Default DC/Marvel Animated Movies

So yeah, both Marvel & DC doesn't just use their characters for live action movies (obviously) they also, since they are comic book companies like to use their characters in animated form, so I guess I have made this thread to discuss both Marvel & DC movies, idk if Marvel is working on something right at this moment, but DC is working on a couple of things:

Superman Versus The Elite will be released in 2012 and is probably based on "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice & the American Way?"

The Dark Knight Returns a two part animated movie based on Frank Miller's comic of same name.

and in early 2012 Justice League: Doom to be loosely based on "JLA: Tower of Babel" enjoy the trailer:

Te movie All Star Superman is based on the comic book All Star Superman, and well, the comic book ends pretty much in the same way as the movie, so I would not expect sequel as they've pretty much handled all that there is to handle about that story

I prefer the DC animated movies. Last one I watched was Batman Year One and it was very faithful to the comic.

Got Batman Under The Red Hood on dvd and watched it a hundred times, easy my favorite DC animated movie.

Don't know any animated blade movies, and I've only seen an episode or two of the X-Men anime, and I did not like it, to me cartoons like X-Men are not supposed to be anime

-----Post added 9:16 AM CST 2/26/2012-----

Yeah I'm not gonna spam and make a new topic, so I'll just say that Justice League Doom is out, I'm gonna watch it in a few moments and then I'll probably come back here and state if it's a good movie or not

I've seen the commercials for that, not sure if it's worth getting though... It's not Doomsday, it's Doom.

Did I say doomsday? alright, thank you for the correction

It wasn't as great a movie as say, All Star Superman or Under The Red Hood, but it was still a pretty good movie, but let me say that Carlos Alazraqui was great as Bane, Bane was also handled much better than his other movie adaptions (looking at you Batman and Robin), and the addition of The Royal Flush Gang was great, a great group of villains that always serve as a good little introduction encounter to the JLA.

I do wish Marvel would make cartoon movies as good and as often as DC does.
The last thing I remember was Tales of Asgard, which I didn't even finish because it was dreadful.
And Next Avengers, seems like they don't even have editors, just kinda shove things out there.
All of DC's animated movies are at least pretty good.

    Default DC animated movies

Okay so we're all agreed that Suicide Squad is probably the best DC live action movie this year. The rest... went the way of Green Lantern cause apparently the guys making the movies skim the plot/back story and call it a day.

The TV series are pretty good, but are usually just as far off script.

The ANIMATED movies they are still releasing though are pretty good.

I just watched Bad Blood and a few others

Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

I am not into those myself. But I do have The Killing Joke pending on my Netflix list. It will be a while before I get to it though. I understand a lot of purists were put off by that sex scene.

The Killing Joke was quite well done as well, I've watched a lot of DC animated films and I've found the voice actors to be quite bad in a lot of them.

Mark Hamill does do a good Joker. I don't know if he is in The Killing Joke.

I don't follow comic books anymore, but my understanding is that DC has too many competing threads and alternate worlds. It gets confusing.

He was. For the Killing Joke they brought in several voice actors from the old Batman Animated Series.
