Trying to save animeyay? If you wanted to fish out information, you could do that in other ways then just voting for someone else.

Your argument is valid, but when someone already has 8 votes on them, and the closest to that has 2.... It's gonna be hard to beat that.
As to the secondary comment (that is a also a valid point, except for the question), but it's how they play/are playing the game, not you. If you think that it's suspicious at all, then vote to lynch them unless you've got better (obvious/confirmed) people to vote for.
