If you want to make the comparison, be my guest. I was referring to McCain, Levin, and Graham's notion of the US being a "battlefield". Sounds like using fear tactics to me. However, unlike the unfortunate German masses we can speak out against this, hopefully McCain's "secret" police won't shoot you first.

Pardon me, but isn't it rather backwards to point out McCain's use of ignorance to scare people, yet insinuate that he has a "secret police" that will shoot you? As long as we are pointing out how bad it is to use rumor and propaganda to influence opinions, let's not turn around and do the exact same thing.

I was reading about this a couple of days ago and I was stunned that this bill passed so many votes in the house. I just wonder why the wanted to create this bill in the first place? I panicked for like 20 minutes and saw that Obama things that the bill is ludicrous and will immediately veto it if it for some reason passes.

Just found out that the Senate approved the bill 93-7...
And the bill already cleared the House 322-96.



It doesn't take a politics professor to know that it's a veto-proof margin.
Obama would probably veto it, but the two chambers have enough votes to override the veto.

I know. It's plenty scary. Thing is, with next year being an election year, things could go either way. It could get repealed, or with the health care law, be put on the back burner. Some of this is a waiting game, so as my dad would say, "Expect the worst, but hope for the best." So let's all cross our fingers.
