Hm...... before I though that it was impossible to get "too much" love... Now, after seeing that first picture, I think I have changed my mind about that. lol. Nice picture.


The second one is also nice, but it's little to dark in my opinion. And I also don't like that the person can be seen as a 'reflection' in the background. That detail could've been skipped - I think it would look much better without it.

I don't find the second one to be "dark"
Yes by comparison it is dimmer than the first photo of the girl holding the bunny (which I also love)
I find this one to be pretty peaceful, kinda like a state of zen ^_^
Then again I think the pictures of Earth from space are just beautiful.

(Finally working on that critique I said I'd do forever ago).

Alright, with the first one I'm really digging the red splatters and the small text behind her head. I feel like there could be just a little more design on the left, though. My biggest concern here is the top part. The word and font itself is fine, but the light brownish bg color is killing me. I feel like if you're going to stick with the light tone, then the top part should definitely be a very light brown.

Don't have much to say for the second one, I'm digging this one as well. I think the diagonal lines could have a little bit lower opacity so it won't distract too much, and maybe make the world just a bit blurrier. I think it'd be a cool effect to very gradually and very lightly get lighter as you go down, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise I am loving the effects on this.

Well this was made back in November ya know.. But here I go..

The color combination are colors straight from the extraction [she has green hair and wears a red hoodie]. I may have moved the color wheel around so that the colors pop more but each color had originally been eye dropped. I wanted something that poped so the contrasting red and greens were nice in almost a comical like appearance for the "bam in your face" sort of look.

I wanted it to sort of shout to you when you read it. [I may or may not have been listening to T.I.'s "lets go" song...heh hem]

I decided the render and the text were not enough so I used the shape tool for each circle and used the purple color grabbed from inside of her jacket so I could incorporate more of that color. Per worm rules I needed a leading element off of the right hand side of the image so I also used the purple with that swiggly yet sharp line of sorts thing.

But with all that I decided it wasn't enough so I added some white milk splashes to tie it all together.

Below is a test I did with a filters to achieve the look another member calls "art".... I spoiled it because I really don't want you to comment about me trying to recreate what they did [sort of like a scientist eh?.] Since I'm sure I read somewhere that they'd like to see me try this type of style... So I did and explained how i did it... And honestly I think it came out good :] So please do not comment about anything said below.

 

The original image was a blue toned black and white so I made it completely black and white to begin with so there is no color to my version. I don't have an image of me against a plain background so you get all of these other lines.. But that's besides the objective here!

I used the "glowing edges" filter in Photoshop. This makes the image black and the edges white. I then inverted it so that the image was white and the edges were black. I then dragged the original image ontop of all of this and filtered it too but didn't invert it. I put it on screen and lowered the opacity to 56% and fill to 36% so that it's a bit more smoother. In the end this look took only 3 layers and a couple of minutes [two if I didn't really want to make the image a smidge more smoother, it was fine without the 3rd layer]



And please do not comment on this test. It's just posted here as more of seeing how this is considered art. I'm still not very convinced even after doing it. More like less convinced. Oh well. No Drama.....

I deleted this off of DA so I figured I'd post it here... This is probably one of my favorite pieces of all time. I love how it contrast light and dark in a unique and interesting way

This was supposed to be a signature, then I decided to push my boundaries onto something entirely new.. ART!! This type of editing isn't something I'm good at.. Figuring out how to make a sea look like a sea without using a pre made sea.
