Default Game Fanfiction - Wipeout: The JX350

I've decided to do a fan fiction of a video game that I've had in mind for quiet some time now thanks to some of the team profiles and a RP that never got off the ground:

I hope people can give me some C&C...

    WipEout: The JX350

    Prologue/History

On January 14, 2004, a man that will bring a new sport to the world was born that will indeed break the laws of gravity forever. His name was Pierre Belmondo, one of the original pioneers of Anti-Gravity technology. Through out his life, he studied all topics related to the law of gravity throughout his school career, despite his teachers giving him 'C' grades throughout his school career. At the year of 2024, Pierre Belmondo was made Director of the Foundation of Anti-Gravity Research, which was dedicated to the research of Anti-Gravity transportation. On 2035, Belmondo's team demonstrate the first anti-gravity craft in the Nevada Deserts, which will bring fruition to many new public transportation to the years to come. On 2044, the F3600 was founded thanks to Belmondo's suggestion, with media celebrity Dirk Breakwater as its first Chief Executive to oversee the sport to grow through its years. Six years later, the AG sport arrives, bringing global popularity phenomenon. Global industry leaders, FEISAR, AG Systems, and Auricom will become household names for the years to come.

During the 2100s, the F5000 will bring more speed, attention, as well as popularity despite political movement behind the scenes of the season. But when speeds and technology advanced, so did spectacles as the F9000 arrived, bringing names like Natasha Belmondo to the sprot, but when October 2170 arrived, a group of hackers exploited the greed and corruption that was revealed to the public, leading to the collapse of global markets, riots seizing corporate markets that required local militaries to stop the attacks, and to send Belmondo's dream into a dormant state.

Years later, the sport was revived and alive again, thanks to a set of amateurs racing in anti-gravity crafts on makeshift tracks. Once again, the world was ready to see the next season when the FX300 was announced, a whole season of professional Anti-Gravity racing set in one location, Makana, home to the infamous and aggressive racing team of Goteki 45. But very soon on 2200, thanks to heavy traffic on to one island, the AG Racing Commission was forced to take the sport to a new level. With an unanimous decision to set up tracks all over the globe, the Commission had to make the return so successful, bringing the FX400, maybe the fastest and most exciting season yet in AG Racing history. However, newcomers are always on the rise, and with the announcement of the FX500, the JX350 has been announced, bringing newcomers and skilled pilots to the FX League.

The race to be the fastest in AG history starts now...

    Chapter 1 (Currently in progress...)

    Location: Talon's Junction, Pembrey, Wales
    Date: 2212/02/23

Talon's Junction never seemed to shut up, Krystian Atkinson decided as he waited for the crowds to lower the noise level. He glanced across at the bustle of men and women in all colours of the rainbow from the green and white of the distant Mirage corner where people chatted and gossiped over Bedouin tea to the crimson red military uniforms of the Piranha officials as they sat firmly, waiting for him to start. The Dane tugged his collar a little and gave a long exhale. This would be his main job, his final proof that he had the nous to rise to the upper levels of the AG-Commission without the need for bribery or backstabbing. He had got here himself despite whatever Overtel had told him all those years ago.

He glanced up to the surly men in black suits each with the image of a lit torch on their breast pockets and shivered a little. He wasn't alone, he remembered, in his distaste for those who had tried to revive Tigron. It had been a black name and better forgotten than remembered. But it seemed the Bulgarian businessman who'd bought the rights to the name and the factory, not to mention the ships and weapons licences from Triakis had other ideas. He cleared his throat and gave a slap to the plexiglas pedestal he stood at. A few more of the crowd turned to look at him, and hushed their neighbours. When he had quietened the crowd, and the only noise was the incessant hum of the billboards behind him, welcoming those to Talon's Junction.

(Krystian Atkinson)"Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to Talon's Junction, where we will host the first event of the newly formed JX350 racing league!"

He began with a smile on his face to a chorus of applause or cheering from different sections of the crowd. He drew confidence from it, and continued. "As you all know, nothing is more important to the people of the AntiGravity Race Commission than the continual, successful growth of our enterprise, the way that Pierre Belmondo declared it so long ago. And there is no better way to continue the spirit of AntiGravity racing than to continually train new and skilled pilots in the use of these honorable and beautiful machines."

    (Jessie Fairbank) "Hear hear!"

A voice called from the navy-clad part of the crowd, and faces turned to see the suited middle-aged woman who'd called out. None decided to shout down Jessie Fairbank, head of Auricom Originals. To do so was to easily raise the wrath of a lot of the United States-based team and even more of those who were watching the opening ceremony. A few faces turned to the opposite side of the crowd but to Krystian's eternal relief, none of the Qirex team had decided to interject and merely sat waiting the next development.

(Krystian Atkinson) "For seven years now, we have run the JX250 league using the older ships of these leagues and using them to welcome new and skilled pilots to the ranks of the FX leagues. Could we have some of our graduates to stand please?"

He asked, to a murmur from the crowd. But slowly but surely, Gabrielle Zuzovnitch, Tara Shannon, Morgan Victius, Park-So-Gun and finally Ishak Bin Yusof rose from their chairs to tumultuous applause from their respective teams. Harimau was very nearly about to throw Yusof into the air before Krystian bade for quiet, knowing that more FX officials were watching by remote camera and evaluating his performance.

(Krystian Atkinson) "And the time has come to bring new pilots to the fold. We have finished our evaluation of a proper season and we have decided to run four events alongside the FX500 races at the same tracks, three separate and one entirely virtual event."

He continued to a sudden hush from the crowd. They were interested in what he had to say now. Krystal tapped a button on his personal hololithic projector and the event category burst onto the screen.

There was some muttering from the crowd, but it was mostly filled with sagely nods and murmurs of assent. Taking a breath of relief, Krystal sighed and stepped forward, turning around a large data-slate complete with electro-quill and laid them on the table before the podium.

(Krystian Atkinson) "This concludes the first part of my speech, ladies and gentleman. I would kindly request that any pilot wishing to take part step forward and sign here for your entry into this league..."

As the first part of Krystal's speech concluded, people began to line up in front of the podium in an calm and orderly fashion, preparing to line themselves up to sign up for the JX350 Racing League. Among the many people that were signing up, there were many from different countries. Ranging from small but very notable families from America to larger but well known ones from Japan or vice versa. Others came from a variety of countries, from Germany, Britain, and even Russia, including some of the people from Bulgaria. There were many that signed up for this racing league that Krystian even kept an eye on Tigron.
