What kind of tattoos do you want/have?

I created this thread because I was curious to know what kind of tattoos all of you have or want to get done. Also, I'm getting my first one done for my birthday, in around three weeks. I'm getting a saggittarius arrow on my wrist, because I represent my sign very well. It's a simple tattoo, but I'm not very good with pain.. so I rather start simple and small before getting another one done.

This is what it'll look like, in black and without the writing:

I am going to get a tattoo on my left shoulder blade.
Just a rose. The reason is because my dad has a tattoo like that on that very spot.

Just a black/gray one - nothing big or fancy.


I am also thinking about getting a small butterfly or something near the rose aswell, since my mother has a butterfly tattoo on her shoulder blade.
But Im however not sure of that one yet... Still just an idea in my mind.


I guess Im going mainstream with the "in 'honour' of my parents"-tattoo thing-í.
Feels a little plain and un-original but still, it works.

I'm not against tattoos or any form of body modification, but I personally don't want to get one.

Although, it is always amusing to see people with wrong/dirty/inappropriate Chinese characters that they think mean something more awesome or badass.

nope. dont have any special meaning on it. i just thought of it cause i like drawing eyes and im wondering how it will look like if ever ill be able to see it on my body. it's not the typical eye though, i kinda want a realistic one and ive never seen anyone have eyes as their tattoo before

These are ones I want. The first 2 are of the holy of holy bad mamma jammas Ultra Marines of the the Warhammer 40K universe.

The 2nd is that of the Salamander Sect. You want a continent destroyed you send these guys in, you want a planet flattened you send in the Ultras.

Rappers over do tattoos and piercings. There's a french saying that goes like this, "Trop, c'est comme pas assez." I believe that one or two tattoos look nice, but there's no need in tattooing your whole body either.

Also people who get stupid meaningless tattoos are stupid, in my opinion. I think the importance of a tattoo is to choose something that represents you and not something that looks "cool".

I think many of the times that tattoos that are almost covering the entire area of someones body can be very beautiful, and also artistic.
(I like when the back and some of the arms and the legs have tattoos, but after that it becomes to much. Like the face, not working for me).

But as with all tattoos it depends of course on how the tattoos are looking.
Even people who just have maybe one tiiiiiny small tattoo can sometimes have a tattoo that.. are.. just something strange.
... Like having the back of a cat over your belly button, or other random animal. ... I mean... Why? O_o

Mjhhheeeh ~~ Let me doubt that. =/ I have seen young people walking around with the most 'un-childapproved' tattoos on their bodies and how they will explain those ones to their children the day they ask their parents about them... it's truly a mystery to me. Hahah! xD
