Oh..I heard about this the other day. Someone did eventually get her off the road, and it was one of those people who usually picks up garbage in China. Just be saying, a lot of people in China are jerks. Not be generalizing or anything.

It's not only morals, per se, but also the social implications.

I've heard about this a while back, never checked out the video until now because I thought it would probably be as horrible as people describe the cat video that Kaitou posted, this video just makes me sad, did they say if she died? It seems kind of obvious but you never know. ;~;

I hope that those people who just continiued to walk past her, ignoring her while she was in pain (she didn't die at that time) aven though they say her that they will get bad things happening to them. Usually I don't wish bad things to happen to people, but people like these... Even if they were scared of being accused of doing that crime themselfes and thus being afraid of getting into jail / becoming killed by death penalty if helping her even so there so no excuse, NONE for not helping an defensless child in that situation. I feel sick, angry, upset and full of tears of the mere fact that people like them excists.

I wish them no happiness in life that all. I hope that karma will bite tham all back, as hard as possible.
I don't even want them to continue their lifes, that is how horrible mad I feel towards them right now. I hate them, I don't know them, but I hate them.

Umm have you heard of this policy in China where people are afraid to help injured people in case something bad happens (e.g. Death), and the person / person's family sues or blames them? I think this came into play here. My teacher from China says that before she even thinks of helping the person, she'd get a witness to testify that she hasn't done anything to the person, in the event of anything happening.

OMG my coworker from China literally just told me about this. She said there have been too many cases where when a passer-by helped a collapsed senior, they ended up getting sued by the seniors because the seniors would falsely accuse them of being the cause of their collapse. With that said, people nowadays are very wary of helping others in need because they are afraid of being falsely sued later.

I saw this a few days back. It still breaks my heart to watch the video. Sadly things like this are not only limited to China -_- It happens all over. Such as a number of years back the Marines stationed at Okinawa got drunk and ran over four Japanese female students -_-

Her mom was hanging out the laundry when the girl disappeared. Her dad wasn't around. Her mom noticed that she was missing and went out to look for her, but went in the opposite direction

I have no idea. But I seriously doubt that those feelings and thoughts where the ones that went threw those peoples head at the time. For example there were this male on that moped (or something similar) that saw the girl while passing by, WENT BACK to look at her, stood beside her for some minutes and then went away again. People don't do those things if they have the slightest intention or hope or desire to help another person.

Those people were pure cruel, with or without the fear of being accused of the crime themselfes.
It's unhuman to behave the way they did.

Sometimes, I wonder...how did that driver who rode the white van pass the driver's test? I am half Chinese and I find it sad to see things like this. They have a different society law thing but I thought they were better than this. At least show some compassion! >:
