i dunno, I usually do this in wolf games. Going through the posts, and voting for someone who sticks out. Probably wrong, but I wait until someone else sticks out. BUT I didn't read all the post, it was a bad shot at sarcasm >.<

I don't see how trying to role-claim so we can FIND the wolves is making me look like scum? Can anybody explain this to me? You guys are voting against me for trivial reasons, just because I'm standing out by applying more pressure onto everyone else, does that make any sense?

FOR THOSE WHO PLAYED LAST WOLF: Remember Jump_For_Luck, and how all townies (and wolves) we're voting against him because he was the only one applying pressure on others to speak? All you townies hated on him because of ONE wolf who started the whole bandwagon. Everyone is easily fooled and it would be truly foolish to lynch me because of the same situation. AFTER ALL, he was a townie.

They vote for you because insisting on role-claiming can make even other townies easier targets. The wolves will never state their role, but neither will many of the townies. I'm sure the Seer doesn't want to expose his role to the wolves, nor the other important townies. If you are in fact an oyster, that's all fine and dandy, but why are you trying to pressure your fellow townies into making them easier prey for the wolves? What will that accomplish?

@RyuTama - I'm not insisting on role-claiming. If your read through the posts carefully you would have noticed I agree with @animeyay . Realize that this is only my second game and my first time as a Townie. I had no idea that role-claiming was already a used strategy and totally bombed.

Also I'll place my vote on Sr Machinehead who doesn't really include himself in the game.

Be careful, I was only voted because of my activity and pressing on everyone. As a result, it did work. Sometimes the wolves are trying to make bandwagons so make sure you guys vote the right way not because you agree, but of what you think is really right.

So far, I'm seeing a couple of shots from Norwegian Moose, Meteorkeeper and Sephora who just blurted out their votes. It's probably since they can't find out on who to vote for. So far, two are not stating some reason, but NM is.

My vote is on Sephora. Sephora was a townie last game, but you'll never know. Plus Sephora just voted without really stating anything or any hesitation. Could it be to avoid being inactively killed? Most of the quiet ones need to say something because how will it help the town if you don't know why you voted for that person?

You just admitted that you had tried to encourage others to role-claim... I'm in the exact same situation as you so I can empathize; I don't want the other townies to lynch me off either, seeing as how this is my first time on the townie side as well. But I would never suggest role-claiming; it just looks way too suspicious, and if done honestly, it would make the game too easy to be fun.

In the pokemon wolf game, I role-claimed as a townie and made it to the end even though I was a wolf. It's really not hard for a wolf to do. So you role-claiming as a Oyster, isn't hard either. I could simply say hey guys, I'm a oyster. But you shouldn't believe someone so quick because of that.

But just like the last game, a lot of townies weren't really thinking. I hope that changes this time and townies read more into things.

Precisely as Daken said, a Wolf can easily role-claim to be one of the regular Townies in an attempt to win the Town's trust, and your case didn't help since you precisely role-claimed as a regular Townie (oyster). Yes, the Wolves know each other, but that doesn't mean they will just sit idly and let the Townies hunt them down~

Well it is easy to claim that we're townie. I, however am not lying. You will all see for yourself that I was for town by the end of the phase, since I'm most probably going to get lynched off.

However for the sake of town, townies need to start thinking and not be fooled so easily by what others say. The bandwagon could have easily been started by a wolf, which would be ~Yin~ in this case.

So I'm changing my vote. Unvote. Vote ~Yin~.

A Bandwagon vote is a vote for someone who already has a large number of votes from players just going with the flow of the votes. When a large amount of people decide to do something, they're "hopping the bandwagon."

@Ribbon Role-claiming is pretty useless. You can say you're a townie and ask people to believe you all you want. I was a wolf last game, but told everyone I was a townie and I survived the entire game. Regardless of whether or not you're townie or wolf, it all comes down to how you post, what you say; analyzing every post, every vote, every wolf kill until you find an obvious clue. Trying to convince people to role-claim can be seen as a very wolfish activity, as it reveals key targets for them.

Hm. There's a few people that made me a bit suspicious, but for now I think I'll go with Sephora.

Why? Because she only came in for a moment to post a vote and a quick, unconvincing explanation for why she chose Daken. Is she not posting anymore than she has to because she's afraid of letting something slip without realizing? What would she have to hide?
