Are there any fans of Star Wars on here? If so which episode is your favorite?

Yes. I'm a pretty large Star Wars fan, with the fifth episode being my favorite.

I'm a fan. The Empire Strikes Back has to be my favorite episode too. It has a lot of philosophical stuff in it that I enjoy. It's actually the best in the trilogy. A New Hope opened us up to a new world of film. And Return of the Jedi features Princess Leia in a gold metal bikini. Leia in bikini=win I'm not a big fan of the prequels though. I don't know how good the recent blu ray releases are. However, I think we all know that George Lucas lost touch with what Star Wars really was a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...

My brother is a big star wars fan and he's always watching the movies. Its pretty annoying sometimes. >.>

But I have to say that my favorite one is probably Revenge of the Sith. I usually pick the first one because its the only one I've actually seen completely XDD but the last one was pretty interesting.

I'm a big fan of Star Wars. I've watched it since I was a little kid. New Hope is my favourite. Although my opinion of the prquels are the same as many others (With the exception of Revenge of The Sith, I really enjoyted that one)

Oh yes. I have loved Star Wars since I was young, remember I had a huge crush on Obi-Wan Kennobi (Ewan McGregor) when I was in High School. Used to go into the library just to look in a Star Wars book that has a big full body picture of him. ^^ So yeah, Star Wars the phantom menace has always been the closest one to my heart, my absolut favorite of all the movies together.

My sister hasn't even watched the Star Wars movies at all, that breaks this nerds heart...

My parents thought that I should at least know what it was about. Then they bought me the box set a few years later... They got their monies worth from those tapes.

I've never been as obsessed with the movies as some people I know are, but I was an avid reader of the spin-off novels (starting with the series by Timothy Zahn) when I was a kid; I think I read pretty much everything I could get my hands on at the time. A movie starring Grand Admiral Thrawn is long overdue at this point.

I applaud your parents skill in childcare. No childhood can be complete without have watching the Star Wars movies!

I'd think the action scenes would balance out the scenes where they talk for about twenty minutes and don't really do much, though Transformers I'd agree on.

The long talky scenes don't really work for me either. I don't know why. Maybe the script is just bad sci-fi or something.

Nope. Haven't watched tv in ages. I don't think that would be a pleasant image either. I know she hasn't aged well since her Star Wars days though.

I love Star Wars. I am torn, however, between Empire and Return of the Jedi. Of the prequels, I find Revenge to be best.

Huge fan of Star Wars. Taped the original trilogy when they aired on TV when I was younger and would watch all of them every week.

Although I haven't had time to watch much of it what do you guys think of Star Wars: Clone Wars - the cartoon that is currently airing on Cartoon Network? My little brother watches it but I haven't had the chance to check more than a few random episodes. What happens to Anakin's padawan after the show finishes?

But what made Star Wars so special? Any sci fi would've either done just as good or just as bad, and Star Wars, if not A New Hope, when it first came out in '77, would had flopped. So what made that, along with whatever was connected with it and the rest of the saga and its sexdirlogy, stand out amongst the others?

For some reason whenever I look at promo pics of Revenge of the Sith, I always think of the most useless questions ever. I think the least useless question was "How did Anakin get that scar?" For some reason I keep on thinking why.
