But I have sort of stopped listening to the newer kpop...its way too bland and no selling points that work. I also hate how the kpop now has jumped on the electronic bandwagon...like the previous trend was ballads. So I mostly end up listening to older kpop songs.

I listen to a lot of KPop groups and artists and with JPop, I wondered why the hell did I use to like it. I find JPop a little iritating. What KPop can do is a lot of variety from R&B to some kind of bubblegum pop. It's just a damn shame if it goes to US, their kind of music will be frowned upon saying "speak English" or "rap is better".
So until then, I'll be a closet KPop fan. lol I'm currently obsessing with Super Junior and UKiss as groups, as soloist it would be IU.

I'm almost a closet kpop fan, only my close friends or people that ask me know about it. It's not that I'm ashamed, just... I privately enjoy being one of the few people who actually knows kpop and loves it.

Anyway, J-POP and K-POP shouldn't be compared as they're completely different styles of pop. You'll notice that even the songs Korean artists go over to Japan to sing in Japanese sound a lot different from the normal style of J-POP. Just putting it out there.

seems here's a lot of K-POP fans, good. of course i like them too, especially TVXQ(so much), 2AM, 2NE1, Super Junior, SNSD, Big Bang, IU, 8eight, K.Will, and still there's a lot of that i like too like Mighty Mouth, BoA,SHINee, F(X) and etc(too many to mention), since the songs aren't heard weird, catchy and nice to listen ♥ K-POP hwaitting!!

Boyfriend IS scary, so is ZE:A O_O But both bands have 1 song I like a bit...=____=; I work at a kpop booth at conventions....when newcomers ask me questions about who is playing on the tv behind the booth. My sister likes Boyfriend. I'm not a huge fan of them, but I guess I can just tolerate them. Other than that, I get her to listen to better ones. :/
In a way, I'm happy not many people likes KPop that I know. They might get the scary Japan lovers to switch to loving Korea and make interest like this be annoying too.
