I'm actually excited though, considering the game is one of my favorites of all time.

Really? People have been begging for FFVI and VII remakes for a while now and they pick one that's still relatively modern?

X was definitely my favorite by far. Not sure if it's too soon for a remake though.

FFX is my second favorite FF game after IX~
Maybe this will finally propel me to buy a PS3.
(Maybe I should stop grinding my X on my PS2 now, haha.)

It's remastered for PS3 though. So it's basically the exact PS2 game on PS3..Like they did with GOW, Sly, Ico etc.

Still nice to play FFX in HD though. PSVita is most likely the remake.

EDIT: Wait, if they are making the games from scratch, I'm going to have go to with @GameGeeks but if it's just a remaster then it's still alright.

It's remastered for PS3 though. So it's basically the exact PS2 game on PS3.

That line could also be interpreted as it will be remade for Vita, and that remake will be remastered for PS3.
We'll need more information. I shall be waiting for more (hopefully) exciting news.

Im suprised they decided X... I agree, it may be too soon. They still have classics like IX, VIII and the acclaimed VII that would be better suited for a remake. They even at one point said they were going to remake VII, but said they didnt have enough time. Dispite that, I would personally love to play a remake of X, and would hope to see a much better BlitzBall Game. I loved BlitzBall before, but it defenitly needed improvement. I hope they Keep the old voices too, instead of a new cast! Sx

Wakka's celestial weapon is the only one I purposely chose to bypass, because I disliked Blitzball so much. No offense to you though. =D In fact, good for you for being able to like Blitzball~

They already had planned to do this, but the stopped saying they were to busy and didnt have enough time. they said they may continue it in the future, but they have stopped all production on it as far as I know. The video of the Intro remake is below.. As much as I would still like to see a remake of 10, I dont understand why when any Final Fantasy from 6 to 9 would have been a much better option in my oppinion.

Yeh I heard it would take like 10 years to remake a game like final fantasy 7.....with all the places you can visit in FF7, Final Fantasy 10 is still good in my books. Too bad its only for the ps3...I'm a 360 guy myself. Also that technical demo is such a big tease!

Oh lord. That woke me up. All the screaming. But anyway... YES! I can't wait to see what happened after the airship. My ps2 game kept crashing before I could even play.

I agree with the Final Fantasy VII remake idea far more than the FFX. Being not only that there was rumors of a FFVII remake that just ended up being Derge of Cerberus and Crisis Core (Total Bummer), but also FFX totally bombed the story line by adding X2.
