I am very new to this, been doing it for ...um a day now. I really liked merging these pics though and can't wait to explore more of Gimp and really put it through it's paces. My first sig ever Kind of a bland background but I did not have anymore time to explore gimp

You know, I think that'd be a pretty solid sig without the text on it. Maybe lose a little of it and find a font that looks a bit more tech-ish and you're good to go

The quality is very low, might be because you uploaded it directly on AF. Try other image hosts and then use the IMG tags.
Other than that it's very plain and simple.

its a nice concept but work more on your text if you want to pu that in an your focal point is a bit destracting
and alsow save your sig as an png. not a jpeg.
png. has better quality

I agree with Garzhvog, it'd look better with the text or with the text in different places with different effects (like overlayed, with a font like Birth of a Hero or the Maple Origins). And like Muazam said, you should try uploading the photo to a website like Photobucket, then copying the link in between IMG tags. Sort of like:

[ I M G ] Your URL goes here [ / I M G ]

Just without the spaces, and paste the URL of the image you uploaded in the space where it says "Your URL goes here". Other than that, amazing signature. Keep up the good work :3
