Inspiration

People get inspired to do things by all different sorts of things. People get inspired by art, music, friends, scenery, dreams, and the world around them etc.

I thought of this because I'm one of those people that constantly get inspired by the most random things. Like I've made a short story about an angel who threw away her wings because a friend laughed at me when my hot wings fell off my desk and I had to throw them away. Then another time would be just last night I had an interesting dream that I think if I work on it I can turn it into a book.

So how do you normally get inspired and what do you usually do with the vision you have? Do you draw or write? What?

This is the same as me. I get inspired by anything and everything. Especially music or if I'm watching a movie and get ideas, etc. I recently startedwriting a story based off a dream I had so my dreams (and daydreams too) inspire me to write and draw.

I also love the sky so I take heaps of pictures of it and get inspired. Also, looking at prettypictures other people have photographed/drawn inspires me too.

I do get inspired by anything I like.

Like an Anime, if but I failed to do it.

Also an RPG with GameMaker....but I failed.

A "good" Website, but I failed.

Well, I was 16-18 when I was aiming to achieve those tasks/goals....heh.

I never got inspired from something simple or to do so something simple.

I got inspired to write lyrics by both things I'd experienced and experiences others had shared with me through narrative. I say 'got' as I haven't been able to come up with anything new in a while - ever since something changed the way I saw things. Inspiration killer I guess.

I am also inspired by TV shows, movies and the like sometimes when coming up with dirty tricks for working security. The most obvious one is keeping 5-10 cards in every pocket I can use as a diversion - just flick a bunch in a person's face and you have a short opening as they're confused by something flying at their face - got the idea from the Joker.

I'm often inspired by the weird dreams I keep seeing, plus the even funnier daydreams I have when I'm half-awake or just spacing out. Sometimes the things I do make me want to accomplish something more. Like, playing gal-games of lousy quality made me want to make a better one myself. So, I daydreamed some more, wrote a piece, found an engine (Ren'py) to make it and even found an artist for the visuals. Altough it's still in the making, I'm pretty content with what I can achieve with just a little daydreaming.

I am an audiophile; I enjoy, and gain immense inspiration from, music and sounds in general (perhaps too much...). For example, the sounds of particular musical instruments (most notably the higher tones of the electric guitar), the sound of waterfalls (and water in general), the sound of thunders (feels... like... GOD!!) -- they can all be a source of inspiration for me.

And this includes human voice. When I listen to music, I'm rarely aware of the lyrics; I enjoy the music itself, including the "sound" of the vocalist, as if the vocalist is an instrument too. Which is also (one of the reasons) why I always watch anime in Japanese, never dubbed. No offense but, American voice actors sound like... "normal people". Japanese seiyuu are waaaaaaay better.

The most inspiring music nowadays comes from Japan (no surprise there). Some doujin circles are producing some of the best music in the world. I bow down to their musical superiority.


That, and... nobody mentioned anime? D=

Anime can be also very inspiring as well, but it depends on the anime of course. K-ON!, for example, is one of the most inspiring anime I've ever watched. (Not sure if the otakus are even aware of it though, as most people seem to watch it just for the "zomg moe").

My biggest inspiration would be music. Music inspires me to draw, write, paint. Just a bunch of stuff. I think this is mostly because both of my parents were in the marching band when they were college, so I guess they passed the "music bug" onto me.

I get inspired by movies and tv shows/anime. My dreams are usually recaps of various anime, so I count that inspiration under anime. I don't get inspred by music at all. Same goes for art, as in paintings or anything you would see in an exhibit. I just usually just see them as art (heh not really) or music. I don't really read too deep into either of those things. But movies. Now thats where the best inspiration comes from

Music, dreams, people and imagination. Those inspire me every single day.
I even had vision of how I would like my dream house to look like and all I did was just imagine things. So I made a quick sketch before I'll lose it. It was crazy, yeah but it may help me later on. (; I'm a big dreamer so every single day, I'm inspired.

I usually get inspired by listening to music, a dream or by reading a book I really love.
I usually write a story usually about the book I read and I put myself in it.
I don't usually draw because I'm not very good at it but sometimes I will try.

I like to go to wide open spaces and lay down on the grass. After a while I'll start thinking of a funny story or maybe soundless music will start going off and the clouds become shapes. It sounds weird, but that's how I get inspired. Or I just listen to beautiful piano music.

well i get inspired mostly by dreams. but movies, anime, and, amvs a good source of inspiration for me. and of course music.

Not particularly.. I've been inspired by things and not have completed them. But I've thought about it at least.

Sometimes an inspiration can just be an idea, it dosen't matter how you got the idea. Either way, it naturally motivates you to create it and do something wether you like it or not. Lol.

Its not always a goal or an action to complete its more of an idea that you just have. I have many inspirations and they're not complete at all, but I just have the idea. (: So it works out all good.

I can get inspiration from just about anything. Say I see an old Charger or Goat go by me. I'll memorize what it looked like, that specific one, and go home to try and draw it.

 

I can't draw for crap, hence the word "try". >_>

Or, as said before, I might have an insane dream. I'd try to make a short story, and elaborate the details so it actually sounds cool, and maybe flows smoothly.

Music is always an inspiration to me. There's so many musicmakers out there, and some put out crazy-good songs, others.. Not so much. Either way you look at it, there's something good about it. And that presses me even harder to create better music. Maybe even with some lyrics..

I can get inspiration from lots and lots of things... but most of the inspiration never really 'comes to life'. I'm too lazy to 'bring it to life'.
I can get inspiration from music, pictures I see, dreams, anime/manga I watch/read, and even random things my friends say... I could go on and on and on.

always remembers 4 or 5 of them every night, that's why i always prepares a notebook and a pen... I always wrote all of them right when i woke up..
If it's interesting, i might end up thinking about it all day..

I do that for about 6-7 hours at a time whilst studying physics and the world around me.

Then, I go and do what I do best- be awesome.
