Drawing of the Month Theme Suggestion

I've had a lot of people throwing suggestions at me for dotm, so I figured "Why not make a thread for it?" Here you can list any suggestions you have for a theme. If I like it enough, or a lot of people back up your idea, it'll (eventually) be a theme!

Freestyle, still-life, and landscape (scenery) were previous themes in dotm so I'm going to wait a few month before using those themes. Abstract and portraits are two possible future themes, and I like the idea of animals. Furries I'm classifying under animals, fanart's kind of iffy, negatives would be too confusing for people, silhouettes is also iffy, and dragons/mythical creatures is also an option. Pfft... anyone can do abstracts, I sure know kindergarten children and even some animals can. We need something more challenging, the mythical creature idea was good but we can also do like a dream theme, that would be cool because dreams are so unique and wonderful. <3

I don't know if this idea exists in the forum but what about describing a few characters and then the best drawing that matches the description ...

maybe drawing something that you saw and liked it or something that you didn't like it ...

a school day ,a party ,a battle ,...

Perhaps the challenge could be something related to the atmosphere or the feel that the drawing gives? One month you could have the contestants do their best to express sorrow or anger or maybe even envy through their artwork? Or you could give us a situation and we will draw from it. For example, you could tell us that x guy vexed y girl and we could go on drawing that girl about to slap that guy or having her yelling at him. Orrrr you could give us something to illustrate through the form of a x page comic?

I really like Ellipsis's idea of doing a still life or a self portrait. Also females ^.^ They're always a pleasure to draw. I'll throw an idea out there as well, I think maybe doing something with hot or cold colors would be fun.

How about you write like 3 seperate paragraphs, or just one would work. From there, we have to draw the scene through our own eyes. With 3, it has more variation, but with just one, it'll be easier to follow. So it's up to you. Although, I'd rather not use a paragraph from an existing novel/article //7

How about drawing a color, or so a specific color.
like, whatever we draw has to be the theme of the picked color

For example: Purple
Person A - draws a character that has a purple theme
Person B - draws still life of purple items
Person C - draws something that involves purple's original roots in the background and such..(you know info, how purple means royalty and such)

if the idea sounds eh, sorry it sounded cooler in my brain then when I typed it xDD
