I know there is a "Would You Rather..." thread, but would you rather be blind, deaf, or mute? Explain why if you feel like it. the idea of this thread was stemmed off of a thread that @Shinn Kamiyra made that I am too lazy to post the link to right now.

I would prefer to be mute, because I'm pretty quiet most of the time.

I feel the same way. If I was blind I couldn't even use my computer :/. So much of the things that I love are visual. If I was deaf I wouldn't be able to listen to music, and that would be very difficult.

Mute would be annoying sometimes, but at least I could express myself by writing/typing. Most people see me as quiet, but I think everyone who knows me really well would prefer me to be mute, at least some of the time :P.

Yup mute, because I don't speak as often then, so I think I can handle not speaking at all. PLus there is writing, texting, and typing now, so I'll still be able to communicate =3 I prefer typing than talking anyways.

Um, well... being a voice actor, losing any one of those would effectively screw me over.

I suppose if I had to choose one, it would be blindness. Deafness? Makes me unable to hear music, so you may as well kill me anyway. Muteness? After all the hard work I put into my voice, no way I'm just throwing all that away.

Actually I always wanted to be mute just because I could learn other ways of communicating and if I were blind I couldn't sigs and if I were deaf I couldn't hear Vocaloid. e_e

It's better to be mute, becasue we can't change the fact that we are going to hear others speacking evil and we are going to see others' evil doings, but at least we couldn't speak evil ourselves!

I would without a doubt choose to be a mute.

Talking is overrated - I can use my hands and write if something is necessary. But I would never want to be blind! I want to see the world around me and as long as I can hear what people say I can communicate with them. But if I can speak -but can't hear, then what's the point with that? Sure maybe I would learn how to speak anyway even if I was deaf but still. Seems lengthy. No, mute is the best choice.

As I'm already suffering hearing loss in both ears and living with hearing aids. I don't understand why anyone would want to be deaf. You seriously have no idea how much you rely on sound. I sleep in complete silence. If something were to happen in the middle of the night I'd have no idea.

As for blind. That sucks too. My brother is legally blind and couldn't even see me at my graduation. Nor can he see birds flying. He's not completely blind but there are so many things you see.

I'd deal with not talking.

I need eyesight because mine is already bad enough to begin with. It makes me appreciate what good things surround me. However, I don't want to see the bad things in the world. With hearing I want to hear everything, especially with loved ones and just to hear them say they love me. Its real special. Maybe the bad thing is to hear the bad such as bad news and whatnot.

So I'd rather be mute. Unfortunately I would not say what I need to say, there is texting, sign language, writing... I'm a quiet person most of the time. Probably the sad thing is when I want to say "I love you" to anyone or anything that involves with my emotion, no one can hear me say it myself. What I want most is not to be deaf, mute, or blind.

I'd rather be mute, because I've tried being one. Once, I had a very bad case of sore throat that I couldn't talk. Had to bring a notebook around and write what I want to say. It wasn't so bad. I can't live without seeing beautiful stuff and listening to music anyway, so I'd rather be mute.

To be honest, I'd rather die.

But I'd go with mute here. It would suck a whole bunch, but compared to the other two it may suck a little less. I don't know. I have no idea what it is like to be mute.
