Temptation

It draws me in and the cool flames grow more intense,
Thoughts out the window, I let desires take control.
Heat pulls me into a steaming embrace,
And my heart pounds at its cage in my chest, my body
only filled with longing.
Shadows flicker and beckon as the flames dance,
enticing me to the edge,
Desire burns, white hot, within me,
I feel as though I can resist nothing and I yearn
for a passion greater than fire can summon.
My lips part, as though I mean to speak
but no words, from my lips flow, and in my mind,
I sigh silently.
It is with a strong resolve that I pull away
left to think,
Temptation is powerful.

Haha, if you've understood the poem, then I'll tell you now, I've not experienced such temptation. It's just an interpretation n.n But, temptation to hit someone behind the head for a dumb comment and such, yes, I've had that many times and controlled the urge.
