I wouldn't recommend it. I have bought multiple items over Ebay before and from all the sellerse I only bought from those with the "top rated seller" badge thing or sellers who have alot of feedbacks (2000 or more is preferable) and got my item as it is.

It can't be a scam because if you are registered as a member (which is recommended) than you'll be protected by the Ebay Buyer's Protection program they got.

For that particular item, there is probably something wrong with it.

It's one of those: "It's too good to be true" type things. I would definitely not buy it if I were you. Because, 1) The persons not really a big seller on eBay, and 2) Its just fishy D:
Also, of all the pictures they have one's a stock image and the other one they have is too small to actually see if its legit.
Most of the time they're looking for a quick buck.

Claims it's a 100mW green laser. Title is "532nm 100mW Laser Diode Module/Green Beam/Dot Test/Lab"
Clearly this is NOT a lab quality laser (as the last word in the title seems to imply), as if it were it, would not be a bare circuit board laser. This is clearly a green laser pointer laser module which was removed from the head of a laser pointer, and then wires soldered to the contacts in place of the spring contact, and probably solder put across the momentary push-button switch contacts so it's on whenever it's powered.
Another problem is 100mW of green light is NOT possible even from a hacked laser pointer. Yes it's possible on a green laser pointer to turn the potentiometer on the board of a 5mW green laser pointer to increase the power, but it maxes out at about 30mW. The claim of 100mW is not likely true at all, as it would take a better power handling laser diode (to avoid damaging it) and a different power supply circuit that could deliver more power to able to make a 100mW laser module.
This is just a modded green laser pointer module, and nothing more.
Oh and by the way this is shipping out from Shen Zhen, China. Nuff said.

Yeah, you can get a green laser pointer over a hundred mw. Highest I've seen is three hundred mw. Besides when they put lab they probably mean for projects since it's not hooked up to anything. I know plenty of people who work with circuitry and this is probably aimed at them. Besides, chances are, if it was a scam the seller wouldn't have a return policy. So STFU and stop posting. Oh and so you don't think I'm pulling the 300 mw out of my rear, here's a link to one.

Also five of the accounts that gave feedback are now closed and most of the others look like their named like scam companies as well plus someone selling a $600 or so item for less then $1 and has more then 1 available should not be bothered with since all you'll get is a pile of garbage fake which most likely won't work or won't look like what it should be.

First, it's more then likely missing 95% of what's in a laser pointer. Second, hate to break it to you but 95% of the stuff you own is...guess what...made in China. Doesn't make it a shoddy product. You're just as likely to get ripped off in the US. Not to mention they have a week long money back guaranteed return policy. If it was a scam it'd be like OP's second link and have a no return policy. Not to mention it sounds like the item you ordered, which I highly doubt you did order and are simply lying to prove your point, could have been damaged in transit. It happens, you contact them and ask them to fix it. If that fails you do what's comes natural to American's, and that's suing them. Either way, you have no valid point. I suggest you shut up while you're ahead...I mean behind. In fact, you're so far behind I can't even see you.

Guess what? That's a photo I TOOK of the box + contents on MY desk after it had arrived. They matched EXACTLY what was said to be in the box. Nothing was broken or missing; I've long had that figurine out on my desk and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. The seller was heavily co-operative and was close to offering a refund+free replacement because it actually arrived late due to stupid UK postal services.

So, once again, you have proved your stupidity by being incredibly discriminative and stereotypical of the Chinese industry and country as a whole.

Please make sure to close the door on your way out.

First, I'd like the statistic you're getting that from. People do that here too. Just go to a flea market and you'll find tons of stalls filled with knock offs and imitations. Second, anyone can duplicate packaging. It's not that difficult to do. What you should be looking at is serial and model numbers since they don't have access to the knowledge of how a particular company goes about generating those and will more then likely just be a random number. Or in some cases might not contain any model/serial number at all. An example of this would be knock off Zippo lighters.

While that seems well written it's not an official source. Though it is good advice for spotting fakes it's still not a statistic and is just advice. I'll take your word on the show since that can be considered an official source but it's still only one incident and could easily happen in the US.
