Strangest food you've eaten?

So me and a buddy of sorts were talking about food and got on the topic of strange foods.

So what is the strangest food you've eaten that isn't really normal to eat. Did you like it?

Mine would probably be fried Rabbit legs. They are probably one of my favorite foods ever. Second would be alligator I guess. People say fried alligator tail taste like chicken. I think it taste like rabbit too.

Squid. ICK!

It was back when I was in high school, 9th grade, and students from Ōsaki, Miyagi were visiting. They stayed for about a week. I liked just about everything they had to offer food-wise but that squid...NEVER AGAIN.

stale bread T.T

our house is next to a bakery and one time, the owner went to our house to apologize for handing me the stale one instead of the freshly baked... i was shocked 'cause i finished eating the whole bread just before he was able to tell me it was stale already T.T

It was at a Vietnamese restaurant. I forgot what it was called on the menu, but it was raw squid sushi. Texture was sickening, and the taste itself didn't help.

I ate dog food as a dare the one time, it is extrmemly vile stuff I wouldn't recommend trying it

fried cicada cocoons, as in when I was little my grandpa and I used to dig out cicadas (in their pupa stage) from underground, and my grandma would fry them, and I remember liking those.

That was back in China though. Now there's NO WAY I'd even touch a cicada. Although, I've seen worse on Youtube what some street vendors in Beijing are selling (namely starfishes and scorpions...O.O)

It was the most strangest and disturbing food I've ever put in my mouth. The texture felt really weird, all of it felt weird.

Balut Or Chung Vit Lon in Vietnamese.

A bit of a graphic read, so be warned. It's essentially a hard boiled egg except the embryo is intact. I've had them since I was a kid so it's pretty vanilla to me. It wasn't until one of my friends was over for dinner that I realized it was a bit unusual lol.

You have no idea what you're in for. As the article states, this stuff has the most foul odor of any food in the world. Imagine the smell of a thousand fishes rotting for months in a barrel. ... and there you have it. I'm not making this up. The stench is eye watering.

I'm told it doesn't taste as horrible as it smells, but I've never been able to get close enough to an opened can to confirm it. If you open one of these cans, the entire neighborhood will reek for at least a day.

I'm not a very adventurous person at all. The strangest food I've ever eaten was holubtsi, or the Ukranian variation of stuffed cabbage rolls. Named on a broader regional basis as halupkies, these stuffed cabbage rolls often have rice and bits of meat in them as they cook in beef stock or other broths. When I ate mine, I got them with beef and rice on the inside to cook in beef stock. I really liked the taste of them, and now a good plate of halupkies serves as one of my favorite meals.

My mother never got me used to raw fish, so we'll see if I get sick. Thankx Eris you have put me to a quest to look for this food and see if I can stand it xD

Ohhhh I remember something XD When I was at an anime store for a free testing for the food, we were given a sheet that asked which was the strangest snack you've eaten today? And I think I put 'Seaweed flavored Lays' <333 I tasted soo good I bought a lot before I left the store >=o

When I tried some I thought they tasted disgusting in fact I can't even describe the flavour it was that bad
