How to get over rejection?

No, you don't have to ask me why I thought of this thread... >.> I would just like to hear AF people's tips on getting over a rejection, especially from people who actually experienced it. This thread may also give enlightenment to people who may also experience it at some point in their lifetime, but if not, lucky them.

Listen to upbeat music, go to an anime con, watch anime, hang out with friends close to you, go to a concert if your into that, keep thinking "I'm already happy, you can't get my down" [currently what I'm repeating to myself, but not from rejection tho], and just go do something you love to do.

Honestly? Time. There's no way you can get over rejection in a day, regardless of what you do, I find. It seems like everything's less fun and enjoyable, so good distractions are hard to come by. In time, you'll pick up your feet and get moving on in life again.

I'm not really interested in a relationship right now, and throughout my life there's been only one rejection so far--by me.

Well to feel sad and down for alittle bit is normal. I say at times like rejection turn to your friends or family or some form of support group. You may be rejected by one person but theres many who accpect you. And remember be patient you will find that someone and when you do you'll forget the feeling of recjection for awhile.

I do say its really hard to get over a rejection especially from a person you really care about. As time progresses I learn to let it all go and wishing won't do so much, but I didn't fight for it either.
To prevent myself from the depression, I get out and do things. It makes the person who rejected me feel like a winner. I want to make that person feel like a loser by enjoying my life, I don't want him either so its all fair, right?

A good way to get over rejection is to hang out with your friends and fam and have fun. Thing about the possible traits you have not the negative ones. Also remember just because one person rejected you doesn't mean every one will. It hard for some people to realize how cool and special you are! ^^

It sucked when I got rejected from making it on the girls basketball team, because I pretty much only didn't get accepted, because my peers didn't like me and they wanted the rich girls on the team. After I got rejected, I stopped playing basketball. I gave up, and turned into an emo and pissed off teenager.
I hate it when I get rejected from getting hired at someplace for a job, because they usually don't bother to tell you that you didn't get the job. All that waiting and wondering makes me anxious for nothing. It's irritating and annoying.
As far as rejection with the love life, just hang out and have a lot of fun with your friends and family, if you don't have any friends and your family is gone or isn't great, then make some new friends, join an activity or a club, talk to a shrink, talk to people online, because being with and/or talking to someone or a group of peoples makes you stop focusing on your sadness and/or anger and eventually makes it go away, because you are distracted by the people or the person that you are with.

Awww, but don't you still play tennis, so you didn't completely give it up. I completely gave up basketball. I haven't touched a basketball in years. I still have a basketball and a hoop though. I probably suck at basketball now, haha.
