Mech Anime Recommendations

So, outside of several Gundam series, I've also seen Full Metal Panic (and especially enjoyed TSR) and Escaflowne, if you'll consider those two mech animes.

Beyond Gundam-related series, what mech animes would you recommend?

Hell YES, watch Gurren Lagann if you haven't already. It's the most epic and manliest grozit you will see for at least the next decade. The old romantic stuff like robot combining, yelling out your attacks, shattering reality, and busty women? It's all here in Gurren Lagann.



In Gurren Lagann, things can only get BIGGER. WATCH IT.

If you want an original mech-ish anime try out Basquash.

I was never really a fan of the Gurren Lagann anime, shore it had it's moments but the story was predictable and the ending was really bad. (It did have some really cool parts though)

Well There's Patlabor, the 3 movies and the show. The Movies are more serious, and also involve the detective side of the police. Where as the show is more comical, and is strictly SV-2.Five Star Stories is also a good series, as well as the infamous classic Gigantor. Gundress is another decent show, and the ever classic Voltron and Transformers. Burst Angel's also good, like FMP it has Mech's but revolves around the characters much more than the mech's themselves. Dual! is kinda funny, it's like a mix between Tenchi and Evangelion.

I did not like gurenn lagann. The style of that one was not my interest.
