I've heard of Samurai Champloo, and need to add it to my mental anime library. On topic, I would go with Rurouni Kenshin, if you haven't seen it already.

I would say Rurouni Kenshin
Its not about lords really mostly about the samurai and the Meja era of Japan but its a great story check it out when you get the chance

Samurai Deeper Kyo is good.

The best is probably Shigurui​ (シグルイ, lit. "Death Frenzy"). It is a little bloody and probably meant for mature audiences.

I don't know if you would count Afro Samurai as a samurai anime and it only has a few episodes but its still pretty good.

That's the one I was going to suggest, more people need to watch that, it's really good.
Other than that, Rurouni Kenshin is based in... well.. not SUPER feudal Japan, but it's pretty close. It is if you watch the OVA's. Inuyasha is definently in feudal Japan but doesn't have many samurai/ninja stuff going on. Peacemaker Kurogane fits the bill perfectly, I thought the anime was pretty slow moving, but once it picks up it's good. The others that were suggested I haven't seen so I don't want to suggest them myself :x

amurai champloo and Rurouni Kenshin is great. I do not know how the animation is as facilitator, but I really like the comic.

I can second the "Samurai Champloo" being awesome. It's kinda like a mix of hip hop and samurai - and the plot is very enjoyable! I don't know about Rurouni Kenshin though, but on the looks of it, it seems a bit more dated than previously named. But of course, never judge something on its cover... unless it's porn.

Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X and Sengoku Basara are good. Samurai Deeper Kyo is ok, but in my opinion you'd be better off with the manga there. More on the ninja side of things, there's always Basilisk.

Although it isn't really based in Feudal Japan and isn't very medieval I recommend Gintama it has an interesting take on the Meiji Restoration... =D
