When I watch a romance anime or VN, I always end up thinking "Thats not how life works ;-; "
I wish life could be half that good.

I have been married for almost 10 years. I have been with my wife for 12 years. And no our relationship is more like Sakano. I think she is a bio-genetically engineered weapons :P
I dunno I think sometimes a relationship can be like those we see in animes but the chemistry between the two involved have to be right in order for it to work.
Trust me never expect every relationship to work there will always be something that will annoy the other person to the very edge and break the whole thing off.
On the other hand the one that you do find, cherish it every single day. Never rely on valentines day to show your romantic side of the relationship as things can happen suddenly and take your partner away from you.........as I found out......
But yeah never let anyone tell you what to do after a relationship ends, let them give you advice but only you know what you need
I looked up what I think is the anime associated with that picture.
Are you saying that in anime the guys get to have harems as opposed to how things work in real life?
I suppose that's true enough. Although I don't think anime tends to do a wrap up where it shows the characters happy in their old age together.
Maybe it would make you feel better to assume that those situations all ultimately end like School Days :P

Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

The only relationship I'm interested in is one that involves me and caffeine.
Most relationships I've ever been in were awkward and way too time consuming. Also clingy people everywhere no. Just leave me alone with my Starbucks.
Life can be just as exciting as an anime. Or perhaps, even more. You just have to make it happen.

I mostly keep to myself. Haven't had a girlfriend since I was 18 years old and it suits me just fine. Mostly because I don't feel remotely ready for such commitment, but then again, every girl I have met I have found beautiful, so many pretty girls hehe but they tend to be uninteresting. Well, at least most of them don't share any of my interests. Well, I'm also unsually where I come from, so most keep their distance. Anyway, I believe love has to go both ways. We have to be on egual grounds and if that could happen, I believe romance like in Anime is more or less something that can come true.
Just looking for something beautiful
Yeah but then most anime relationships are just harems like Sunnyside said.
If you mean a relationship like (shows the underrated shows I watch) Renton and Eureka from Eureka 7, then yes, I agree, anime relationships are better.
But if you talk about a relationship like say from Nisekoi, then no, those are just pathological.

I always recommend celibacy... *Looks around* ... but I see you guys are way ahead of me.

In animes, there is usually so many gestures to get them to show their feelings to each other or a event to get them to get closer. In real life, its more like they just look for someone to be cool with and sit in parks drinking or snogging. Blah. So romantic ain't it xD
Nagisa's parents (Clannad) = Relationship goals.
Relationships in anime are almost always followed up by some witty situations.
And the point of view of both characters are revealed so I know what is behind their actions and behaviours in different situations.

Relationships start pretty nice and stuff. Ya know, the mushy mushy stuff. Then it becomes normal and that's where it slides down for most couples. It's almost a year now for me, things are going smooth..too smooth that it's scary when I think about it.
Anime relationships are okay but I dislike comparing it to real life relationships. Too good to be applied in real life.
I rarely post, yo.
Relationships are like a black hole your always to scared to just go in one.
