Just remember that the Mayans didn't actually have any apocalypse theory, their calendar just ended in 2012. It was much later that people decided that it meant the end of the world! So don't worry, I think we'll be just fine

since future events are not deterministic, I would place those people that claim nothing will happen in the same boat as those that claim something will.

The world simply cannot end in 2012, 'cause that means AF would die with it; which, simply put, cannot and will not happen. To insinuate that such an embodiment of awesomeness would meet its end so soon in life is blasphemy of the highest order, and I won't stand for it.

I don't know... I'm still on the fence about it. I mean, there have been apocalypse prophecies that haven't ended the way they were supposed to. Although, in the past couple years it seems we've been getting more & more natural disasters. Which to me is the warning that we as humans are being too hard on the Earth. So yes, I do believe (to some extent) that the world will end in 2012.

Its going to be like that Y2K incident, I was pretty young at the time and I don't understand it so much until a few years ago I found out why people were freaking out. Just because things are going bananas here it doesn't mean the earth will suffer as well on that particular year.

Not really. Why are humans so paranoid with these end of the world theories? Its almost like we want to kill ourselves.
