Abortion?

Are you for abortion or against it?
I got the idea for this thread earlier standing at the bus stop. My friends were saying that President Obama was for it and how he shouldn't be because killing babies is wrong or whatever.
But I kind of disagree because killing babies is wrong, but its nothing worse then a parent that doesn't know how to take care of their kids. I think that's why kids/teens are so crazy these days because their parents don't know how to take care of them.
What's your opinion on abortions?

Up to the parents. And considering people tend to get them asap the fetus hasn't had time to do much development and is nothing more then a glob of tissue. I'm also for stem cell research. We might as well put those fetuses to use since if we can create artificial stem cells we can be on our way to curry many medical problems.

If you wanna do it, go ahead, provided you've thought through your choice.

If you think it's wrong, don't do it, BUT DON'T TRY TO BAN ABORTIONS or do things such as using grotesque pictures to advocate your own personal or religious beliefs.

As for my personal opinion, sure why not? I don't see a problem.

People, have the right to do whatever the hell they want with their own body. (granted that they are not mentally unstable to where they are causing self-mutilation or something to that effect).

I have no qualms with abortion, as the fetus is nothing more than an attachment- therefore, just another part of the person themselves

I've always been pro-abortion. Abortion, gay marriage, etc. I'm just a pro-rights kind of guy. I don't like to see any right taken away, and I love to see new rights given to the people.

I'm against it, morally because I can't think of myself killing something helpless and a part of me. If anyone wants to do it, go on right ahead. But I'll do things I want to myself, if I had a choice I don't want to abort.

I agree with this assessment. It's the reason we got the srs bsns forum in the first place.
