Signature of the Week #32 Theme

Hello!! Serated again! Kay, nothing bad to say this week, so dont worry. BUT, I wanted to update everybody because these things are overlooked a lot. There have been a couple changes to the rules. First of all, the sizes of your entries have been increased from 450 by 200, to 500 by 250 as the maximum size dimensions.


Another change, is the file requirement. When you send your entry to me, I want the entry to be of the PNG file type, not a JPEG.


Lastly, please please please, label your Private Message with the SOTW's number!!! I am getting too many entries lacking the number, and they are starting to get lost.

Signature of the Week #32 Theme

Theme: Human Females

As in the living 3d kind. Not the 2d, Nyan with cat ears kind. As much as I would love catgirls, and I do, this week I want you make me a signature with a regular girl in it. Good luck.



Entry Rules:

1) Your signature must be at least 380 by 80 pixels, and no larger than 500 by 250 pixels, the files must be saved as a PNG file. If you use animation, the file size of the signature must not exceed 1 MB.
2) Entries are due on the date of Saturday, March 19th, 2011.
3) All entries must have the text ‘AnimeGalleries.net’ on them for.
4) By entering in this contest, you are allowing AnimeGalleries.net the right to use your signature for promotional reasons or otherwise.

1) Serated is not responsible for your entry following the contest’s theme or following any other above rules. If you have ANY questions pertaining to this contest, please PM Serated and your question will be swiftly answered to help.

2) Any comments, concerns, or important questions regarding the SOTW contest, or the weeks’ theme should be posted within this thread.

3) This contest is ANONYMOUS. Any discussions of entering, voting, deadlines, other otherwise will result in your entry and future participation within this contest being revoked.

4) You are allowed only 1 (one) entry for this contest. If you wish to make necessary changes to your entry, you are free to do so. You may NOT enter multiple versions of your entry.

I have two suggestions, one is a sugggestion thread for themes so there can be more themes that people like, I was flabbergasted when I found out there has never been a Nintendo theme and if you gave people the offer to suggest you could always refuse if you don't like it.

Second is on vertical signatures, I think they should be added seeing as how they take out opportunities for people, besides what harm can a vertical sig do, it's just weird that verticals weren't added seeing as in every other SOTW I've entered there was vertical allowed, So yeah, I hope you can take my suggestions in consideration because I'm sure a lot of people woouldn't mind it Serated.

EDIT: Quick question with animation, does it have to be apng (animated png) or can it be GIF, personally I prefer apng because it supposrts more colours and 8 different types of transperency if I remember correctly but some browsers don't support apng i.e. internet explorer doesn't.

Both have happened. If you want to suggest a theme, then send it to me, I have a laundry list of them that I thought up and I have always asked people to send me themes, but no one ever does. Keep in mind, that if we did this chronologically, this would be SOTW 120-something, and only like 3 people have ever suggested a theme to me; all of which I have used.

As for vertical signatures, I use those as a theme. But, as for making them an integral part, then you should probably back track a couple of themes because this was brought up before. I dont add verticals as an option because there's no real reason to do so, but some people wanted them that way. So I made them an offer, they do a type of petition asking for verticals to be added and I would do it. All I wanted was 10 users to send me PMs saying they wanted verticals. 3 people sent me PMs, so I didnt add them in.

I do things via popular demand; so if its popular, I'll do it.

Well I know about the petition because I actually joined it anyways, it seems odd that it would be 10 people to suggest seing as how we usually on have 5 or maybe 7 entries for SOTW, maybe if you lower it a bit it could help us. o_O

There's more than 10 Graphics Designers who enter in these competitions here. Just look at the BOTM, the only cache to them is usually the theme and time. Should ask some of them.
