Well, I know that Toriyama intended to end the manga after they defeated Cell but I was kinda looking forward on the Boo saga.
What are your thoughts?

I guess it doesnt matter, considering how epic the Cell Saga is. And the Buu saga had its good moments but it doesnt match anything from before. Even the Goku vs (Majin) Vegeta fight was lame.
If Minecraft had a Japanese intro.

Super Saiyan Dango
I didn't see a point in the remake anyway, so having it end there does the series as much justice as ending it anywhere else.
Yeah, it was pretty darn good.
Anyway, everything after Cell is such a fine, almost homogenous mix of essential plot and filler that an editor would have a serious challenge cutting it down without losing important segments. I also fear they'd have cut the Great Saiyaman, and he makes a whole string of episodes worth watching.

We're forgetting something here, it's still just a prettied up DBZ.
You can watch the end of the Cell saga on Kai, Jump into the Buu saga on Z, and unless you're one of those pretentious asshats that I see every day at work who thinks everything has to be HI DEF OR IT'S LOLCRAP, then you won't even noticed the damn difference.
It's not like they're redrawing everything frame for frame like they do every time they release a new Dragon Ball fighting game intro.
They're just taking what's already there and cleaning it up and trimming out the fat.
And let's face it, the Buu saga, being the newest Dragon Ball saga (Ignoring that abortion that is GT) needs the least amount of cleaning up and looks the newest.
Which makes sense because a majority of the saga was released during the mid-90's when animation across the globe saw vast improvements.
Sayian saga started in the late 80's. That and Frieza needed the clean up treatment more than anything, and the Cell Saga probably didn't need anywhere near as much as the first two saga's did.
There are actually a couple of places where they retraced the artwork from the original DBZ storyboards because the old film was too corrupted to save. I've noticed it in a few areas where the details aren't quite as pronounced or are given softer lines than in the original. It's only in a few places but if you pay attention you can find them. (May be silly, but I think nuts and bolts technique is interesting.) That being said, I'll be happy if they stop at Cell because I found Majin buu to be nearly unbearable with the exception of a few little things that they probably could have made into like a short "epilogue" episode and it would have been fine. But that's just my opinion.
Darkness beyond twilight, Crimson beyond blood that flows...
