Dayum. The second and 3rd one are interesting. Especially the little nipple stickers on the 2nd one.
But i'm interested in the first one the most. I have a hard time describing it. Theres a lot of emotion in it. The colors and overall look of the picture is very serene and peaceful. This is feeling is the complete opposite of what the render represents. The render is of a man (or girl) in armor and a loaded shotgun getting ready for what could be his final battle. Its like the signature represents this persons feeling of calm before the storm. I absolutely love it! 10/10.
Truly the first sig that i've ever seen from which i could pull some sort of idea or emotion. Bravo Sir!
Hmmm... Been a whileSit back some time and simply ask yourself, [Link]->"Do you even lift, bro?"<-[Link]
Thanks! I experimented a lot with the first one, but the emotions were somewhat unintentional. I did try to go for a calmer sort of sig though. I can see "the calm before the storm" feel...I might try and experiment with emotions more in my next few ones

Interesting work as always. I like the smudge tag, myself I like the lighting on all your tags, and the Deadpool one is just gorgeous.

WHY YES I DO STLLL EXIST
Few collabs:
And new solo stuff.
You really know how to make your clipping masks and C4Ds work very well with almost any composition you make. I find that very impressive. Especially with this. The latest one you've made though (Felix) are one of the compositions you tend to make that I think doesn't fit with the C4D theme very well. Don't get me wrong; the composition is very nice. I personally just think a vector styled signature would be more appropriate for a character like that.
You're doing good as always Ellipsis. Keep it up.
Thanks, balance!

Meh.
Very nice sigs, you made..... I tried to find one or two, that I don't like, but I can't find one..... I like them all.
Finally?
My BSOTW Winning sigs
Kay dude, sweet job on the BW tags. The first one has some excellent effects to it, and I like the 2nd one's blending and depth.
I think you still need to work on balance on contrast, because both tags are kind of just all one shade of gray. A couple solution that might help are a B/W Gradient Map sent to luminosity, or multiply. A curves adjustment layer or a brightness/contrast.
If your more adventurous, you try the High Pass filter or the Lighting Adjustments filter.
Nah, the amount of effects you have in the girl one is adequate, a bit minimal which helps supports its simple nature. The real thing that might push that one over the edge is more lighting. In this case, you have a reflective light in her face, but not enough so that its apparent in the shadows contrasting it. A really REALLY good trick is use clipping masks on your renders, using big soft brushing, and then erase overwhelming areas. Conventional wisdom says to brush to add effects, I prefer the subtractive method of erasing the brush work away.
A couple good places to start, especially now that you're getting into the finer detailing work of signatures to make them more believe able would the right should, the left hand, and the shadow cast by the nose. If you're planning on continuing that tag that is.
I would really like a tutorial of this. If you're doing a sexy, sultry look you did an outstanding job on that. It's interesting that you didn't really use a 100% black, but a dark gray. I kind of like it when you do that. The contrast is real high, however for me it seems to work quite well in this piece. I'd still like a tutorial of this, I want to learn how you got it the way it is.
Maybe you can also go a little extreme and do sexier signatures in that kind of style WITH colours.
I may write a tutorial on this one, but it'll be long and confusing. Pleased with the outcome though.
Meh.
Having a hard time getting back into my groove.
and a collab
And the .PSD for the "S" tag in the last post.

Okay, here's some useful advice for you, at this stage you are very good at using stuff to your advantage. You can create a good tag, no problem, the next step for ya is to get more detail into your signatures.
Basically, you're going to have to start using smaller and smaller stuff to do your work for you; brushes, vectors shapes, etc. Now, there's 3 tricks I find that helped me get into a good zone to start, and from there you're golden.
1, start with a big canvas, then transfer to a smaller one. This one works with smudge stuff, sometimes others, basically, do most of the ground work establishing atmosphere and lighting, etc, then transfer what you've done to small area, size it down if you want, then apply a render and blend it with what you have.
2, small areas over large areas. I'm sure at this point you have a ton of Form based C4Ds, and some of them are kind of boring. To get more detail, take a big C4D, scale it down in a tag you're working on to the size you normally would have it to. Then, throw in another one on top of that, and make it small than the first. The trick is making this smaller top on LOOK like its part of the bigger one. The smaller you can get one of those massive thing to look like in belongs where ever you've placed it is key, and will give you more detail.
3, dark to light. This one comes from two sources, being a painter in real life, and studying the works of Platina and GalaxyInc. In the early conceptions of your tag, first making the BG, flow, etc, make those areas dark early on, so when you begin using a render or what not and begin tinkering with the lighting, the details of you're early setup will being to appear. Gmap with BW on Luminosity or Multiply (check opacity), Brightness/Contrast, Curves, etc. Whatever works.
^That'll be my goal for 2013
For now a tagwall:
Aaaand i'm out.
