Immortality

If you were given a chance, would you become one? Or will you stay as a mortal and grow old with the people you care for the most?

So what do you think about it?

Definitely not. Knowing that you can lose your life at any given moment, especially for one who savors fighting as much as I do, helps to sense and acknowledge one's existence. I can't think of anything more boring and unsatisfying than being an immortal who can never die or put his life on the line again.

At most I'd spring for eternal youth.

There are times that i do wish for that. but there are also times that i just feel contented
it's just that sometimes, time slips so fast that i just don't want things to end yet

No! Even though I would like to live for a long time I don't want to be stuck on this world forever! Anyway everything that I have done would mean nothing if I had all that time.

It would be nice to live forever. Seeing as how I am afraid of death, I often wonder how it would be if I could live forever. Being eternally young doesnt sound too bad. Being mortal is just too sad and its based on chance, mainly. Looking around at all my friends and family and knowing that we are all going to die someday just depresses it. I dont want to die..! T.T

To be immortal? that is appealing but I rather go with a short and entertaining life than a long life filled with more pain and sorrow that anyone can feel.

anyways, as for me. hell yeah! I'd finally have enough time to allocate to all of my wide-ranged hobbies, and like forgotten show said, it'd be nice to observe the progression of humanity from a first hand account.

I am rather content being a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things I believe.
Living forever with no risk of death would take the thrill out of some things I hold dear.
And how bloody boring would it get after a century or so? I'm already gettibg tired of some things and I'm a measly 21.
If anything I hope I die within the next couple of decades. In my prime, doing something completely stupid.

I'd like to be immortal, but not all the time. If it came with eternal youth that would be another story, but if it was just immortality, I'd probably turn it down. Then again, if I could turn off and on my immortality, then deffinitely.

It depends on the conditions associated with the immortality but as things stand now a life of a few thousand years would be more than enof. Complete immortality is a curse and I am positive eventually you would be very sick of liveing.

Well I'd like to try. It has it good sides and it's bad sides. For one you would see all the death and destruction and the passing of your loved ones but there would also be some nice moments. I guess I wouldn't be just any normal guy probably a scientist or something. I mean you can't be immortal and be just plain simple. Your mind reaches a whole new level after living for so many years ,decades or whatnot.

Depends on what comes with it. Do I continuously age? Or no? Sickness? Illnesses?
But if I don't continuously age, and become super old and brittle, then I MIGHT go for it. Again, it all depends on whatever else comes with it :P

eh being immortal wouldnt be too bad i could finally realize my dream of world domination, but i also wouldnt want to be immortal due to the fact that everyone i love would die and the fact the worlds going to heck in a handbasket makes me not want to live forever

As much as it sounds cool to live forever, I don't think I would want to live real long. I think I would get bored with life. xD

IMMORTALITY -- OF COURSE! Let me have it! What fun is cashing out, just as I am finally starting to get somewhere? No tricks, though. It has to be 20 years old, rich and healthy forever, or I'll just die. :P
