Serious question.
I'm curious. I want to hear both human beings' and the anthropomorphous' idea of what a real cat is. ^_^
Besides biological features, of course. -____-

When he eats whole pans of lasagna, like a boss.
I was thinking when it eats all the mice.
Tom from Tom & Jerry was not a real cat. He never could beat that goddamn Jerry.
What's the point of having a cat if it's not gonna keep them dirty mice off the house??
I'm rofl-ing right now!
Idk... They catch mice and leave them on your porch dead.
There is no absolute right and wrong. People judge as right what they personally consider pleasant, and judge as wrong what they personally consider unpleasant. Convincing others of what is right cannot be equated with teaching the Truth. It is just teaching others to agree with you. It is not about putting an end to error, but putting an end to opinions contrary to your own perceptions.~Lao Tzu
Behold! THE REAL CAT
nyannn nyannn~~
I think that a cat that is able to catch a mouse would be considered a cat to me. Isn't that what they're supposed to do?
Oh, and cough up hairballs.
I think a cat is a real cat when it can catch a mouse, a bird, and a fish. That way I know it's still a predatory hunter like it's bigger counterparts.
Thanks for the sig Xey Oiz ^.^
This is Sev's cat typing.
To us, a cat is not a cat without an intensely awesome tail. It may just seem like something attached to our lower end to you humans, but to us cats it's like a badge of honor.
A real cat works a 9 to 5 (hell, a 9 to 9) and doesn't complain.
A real cat would rather be neutered and watching the world outside from a window than be a stray.
A real cat fights in some war, gets killed or perhaps maimed, and does so without asking "Why?"
A real cat buys chocolate, flowers, and diamonds on V-day.
A real cat will, upon learning that his litter actually belongs to the tom cat down the street, sire the litter anyway.
A real cat would never scratch another pussy cat, but is obligated to scratch tom cats under similar situations.
Why are all the real cats are either handicapped or taken?!
You want to know what makes a cat a real cat? Well, I'll tell you what makes a cat a real cat!! Crazy words coming from a wolf, but whatever.
A real cat has to be cool. They break barriers and ignore social norms. Real cats don't care what you have to say about them. They do what they want, when they want, and heaven help you if you are caught in middle of their zaniness. Aww...you think your cat loves you and takes care of you, taking you on crazy adventures to stimulate your imagination? NO! Its all part of their plan. You are but a stepping on their path to greatness. Perhaps they will acknowledge you once they have made it to the top, if you are good enough. Other times they will forget, because they have no time for you, but you love them anyway, because their powerful kitty minds force you to. This is what makes a cat a real cat.
REAL CATS!!
NOT a real cat!

This is my war face.
This is what happens to trolls who mess with me.
A real cat is a cat that not only has overcome its fear, but has subordinated its fear:
