Loving it so far. It's directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and the music is done by Yuki Kaijura. The ending theme by Kalafina is just wickedly awesome.

You’re right…“a head”…oh…

Episode 3 is horrible… I was really overwhelmed…

It’s NOT ordinary Magic Girl Anime like Sakura or Nanoha

But I love it XD!!

This sums it up

Story: The story was an interesting concept that knocked the shell of of the typical Magical girl genre. However because I was expecting it to be cute I guess it was a let down? On top of that the story was easy to follow the first half of the series then becaome a confusing hot mess by the end. I really had no idea what was going on.

Animation: The animation reminded me a lot of the Black Rock Shooter animation which I like. It's different than the norm and has an edge to it. It also had some futuristic concepts in it which I give points for creativity.

Sound: The sound was pretty much the same song over and over. While the song was nice it would've been nicer to have more of a variety. It reminded me of "A song of Storm and Fire" From Tsubasa Cronicles.

Characters: To be the strongest character in the show Madoka herself was weak the entire time almost. Though the character designs were great and I loved the costumes.

That's exactly what I thought. After a CANAAN cryfest, I wanted a new anime, I took this and I cried too. Goddamnit. T_T

But I have to admit, it's a good show, and I'm not really a fan of Mahou Shoujo.

It's not a finished anime. It got cancelled and it finished really quickly. :/ The end was blech meh and pssshhht.

It's technically not "cancelled". It was just interupted like most animes during Japan's huge earthquake and tsunami. (Surely everyone knows by now.) Then after that, it's all just catch ups. Left all of us hanging for a while.

It's a work of art. Everything from the weird and eerie art, to the music, to the concept, to the slight changes in the openings and everything in between. Madoka Magica was amazing. That is.. until they ended it horribly. I'm starting to get annoyed how every anime has a terrible ending. Can we say Tsubasa Chronicles, Durarara!!, 11eyes and others? It's so frustrating. Instead of finishing it off stupidly.. take the time for a proper ending. Damnit.

Admittingly I wanted to avoid the anime as I thought it would suck so I didn't watch it as it aired. Then one day I got curious to what people were talking about so I watched it. After episode 1 I still thought it was going to suck. Then I finished it and I fell in love with it.

So I got curious and watched it...wow, it started all cute and fluffy and warm and happy, but it slowly took a U-turn. Well played! Anyway, what I was trying to say is, I definitely didn't dislike it. It wasn't extraordinary in any way, but not disappointing, either.

It is indeed a very good anime because of its special view on the world: "you get to grant your wish, but consequently the same amount of despair you have to overcome" and then"I will destroy despair with hope, which comes despair"
