Mail Delivery Problems

Have you ever had any problems with getting a letter or a package in the mail? If so, what was the situation? Examples: the package or letter came late, you didn't get it so you had to call to have them resend it to you, the letter or package had been damaged, etc.

I had a letter come in about changes to my credit card extremely late. The letter required me to do some changes to my credit card account by a certain date if I wanted to keep my account the way it was, and when I got the letter, it was too late to makes the changes. Then because the changes weren't made, I was charged money from my credit card. So I had to call up the credit card company, and explain the situation, and my changes were fixed, and I was given my money back for my credit to be normal again.

I ordered a package of make-up, and I never got it in the mail. So after a month of waiting, I called up the company, and told them I had still never received my package. They said the package had been delivered on this certain date, and that the people who delivered the package, saw a young girl take the package, so they assumed that was me. So I got my package stolen by a kid. So they had to resend me the package, and then I got it.

not so much that it's really a problem, as just very inconsistent..

"will the mail come today at 11am, or at 4pm? nobody knows..."

Also, I hate it when we get other peoples stuff by accident..

I've never had any problems with the post. I've always got my purchased item on time or a few days earlier.

My friend was going to send me a parcel, but I got an email saying that Fed-Ex could not deliver it, due to the wrong address being on the package x_x

I actually collect autographs through the mail(see my website skautos.webs.com). There've been some crazy stories I've heard over the years, but the best one was probably when one of my friends mailed an actress and received a reply eleven years later, even though the postage was stamped ten years before he got it. It also had "return to sender" stamped on it, even though the envelope she replied with didn't have a return address written on it.

...So yeah, this was an odd one. U.S. Postal Service does an amazing job, but sometimes there's some things that happen in it that are simply inexplicable.

Back in 2009, when I imported Dragon Quest IX...it was shipped 5-6 days after it's release.. ._. And then I got it like in 4 days after that. But meh.

Royal Fail seem to employ a lot of part time thieves since I've had several packages go missing and I always suspect some part timer had gotten themselves a five fingered discount.

Nothing bad ever happens to me with mail, but my brother ordered a jacket and got it a month late.

My cosplay never came last year. We demanded a refund.

My Christmas card from a good friend never came, even though she sent it out before Christmas. Sadness.

My second cousin's wife stole the court notice which notified when he was to be in court (they were getting the divorce). Needless to say she took him to the cleaners while he was completely in the dark. Judges don't take kindly to no shows. Hell, his wife even admitted to having stolen the notice off the record. It's too late now though.
He said if you're ever in the middle of a divorce, get your own private P.O. box. It turns out this thing is actually not too uncommon.

I once ordered something and it was almost two months late arriving.

My dad ordered a new computer and we were expecting it in the mail between Saturday and Wednesday. Well when my dad went out to go check to see if it was there, there was a note saying "Sorry we missed you..."
My dad got annoyed. They didn't even ring the doorbell. We were listening just in case but we never heard anything. So he went to go try to pick it up after five and they told him it was still in the back of the truck (which sounds weird but ok).
He came back and said that they told him to wait until the next day.
So long story short we got our computer on Tuesday but it took several days to instal.
They didn't even ring the doorbell. I still can't stop thinking about that. Really its not hard to ring the doorbell.

YES! This happens all the time.... it's kind'a weird when the address is completely legible on the front and clearly not the one it was delivered to.

Also, I've had a couple things stolen. But the strange part is that the theif leaves the empty envelope in the mailbox. The only things that go missing are games. And the one I was upset the most about was Zelda, Majora's Mask... damn thing cost 60 bucks
