I love the show because it features Yandere characters.
The story of a Yandere is so endearing and fascinating to me,
so School Days is in my top animes.

It wasn't THAT wtf.
I enjoyed the manga more, but that's perhaps because I read it first. I thought it was more believable, and I guess it had the initial shock factor.
I really enjoyed it, It is of course not for everyone, but it's definetly on my list that I'd recommend people to read. I think if by episode 6, if you're not gripped, you should probably drop it. It continues in the same vein and you probably wouldn't like it.
Also: everyone who has seen it already - look up the Magical Heart Kokoro-chan OVA
haven't watched - watch
watching - continue
watching & don't like - try at a later stage
finished - watch more!
@Darkfyre : haha yea it was ironic alright xD nothing can cmpare to that "wtf" moment
I dropped School Days and watched the ending on Youtube out of curiosity.
I admit it.
I watched it as a marathon and at the end I was staring at the screen with my jaw open.
I'm not gonna spoil it for some people who read this so...
I can't believe it happened.
I was so surprised, I knew that he was a prick, but noone deserves that...
After watching it and finishing it yesterday, I still feel depressed.
"Hearts, you say? You Humans are always so quick to speak of such things. What is this "heart"? If I tear open that chest of yours, will I see it there? If I smash open that skull of yours, will I see it there?"
I am number 4.
I liked school days just because it's so WTF. It's an excellent look at a 'harem anime' gone wrong. It's not a romantic comedy, though the first episode can make you think that way - it takes a bold look at what a selfish teenaged boy (and the main character shows himself to be very selfish) would do if he's got all these women fawning all over him. Plus, it makes the 'lovable pervert' to be... not so lovable. At all. Which I like, because I usually can't stand those characters - I find your average lovable pervert who obsesses over panties and boobs to be incredibly creepy, so I'm glad they went in the direction they did concerning him.
I finished it today, watched all episodes. It's verry wtf, depressing etc.. I think the moral of the story is: Dont play with other peoples hearts. Not shure what to think of the main character though. I mean, no grozit he was an DB.. But all those chicks were throwing themselfs at him. I realy didn't like the whole cast, except for.. forgot the names.. The shy girl that was on the boat at the end and the girl that went to paris.
And cue stupid irrelevent music. And my favorite ani e character is dead.. (he was kinda a dick though)

I knew the ending before I even watched it. Anyway I dropped it too until I barely reached episode 5 or 6. Really WTF man. I just couldn't get how the creators could think of such a epic storyline to such a "innocent and romantic" slice of life anime. Oops... I think they mistaken "slice of life" with "SLICE !" of life.
It started as a normal romance anime but what a brutal twist it has got!! I have to say I enjoyed the show although he was the first character that I officially hate! When we talk about evolution we mean in the positive way eheh Maybe that ending was a bit too much but we can say that love drive us "literally" mad
The Supreme Ruler
of The Whole
I totally think he got what he deserved!
