Saints Row series

Any fans of the Saints Row series here?
I love this game for its over the top style and the amount of customization options that the game has is just amazing. You can make just about anyone in Saints Row 1 or 2 as your character. I have seen everyone from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Ash Ketchum being created and the amount of side missions that you can do is great. My personal favorite one is "Fuzz" a parody if the TV show Cops were you dress up as a police officer and take down all kinds of misfits and trouble makers or alternatively if you feel like it get a car upgrade , buy some "heat" and be a troublemaker yourself.

I own 1 & 2. I enjoy playing the second one more, even though it is a little easier to gain respect in there than it is in the first one, but I still like it. I hope they come out with a Saints Row 3, since in the end we still don't know what happened with Dex. And we killed julius and know what happened to troy and gat.

It is a shame that we did not get any information on Saints Row 3 at this years VGA's as many people expected we would.
I am also interested in how Saints Row 3 is going to look now that Volition has stated that they are going to make the game "Less urban and gangsta" .
I hope that they did not abandon the project altogether in favor of the new "Insane" game coming in 2013.

Well I just read about Saints Row 3 on wiki and it stated its going to be revolved around Dex, I hope they don't make it way too different, I liked what the first 2 had going for them.

I just reread the Saints Row 3 Wikipedia article and noticed that the Saints Row series was always written as a trilogy.
I wonder, did they always intend on dropping the "gangster" aspect of the series in the third game or is this a change that they decided on recently.
