For me anime and manga is equal. I watch on both on an equal scale. Only cause I like reading the manga because it gives you more information. Anime cuts some scenes from manga so it's good to keep up on what you may have missed. But I like anime because my characters are moving and speaking in voices. There are a few manga series I read that don't have an anime yet. I just hope they do.

Pretty much every manga series are published in anthology magazines (ex: Shounen Jump, Young Jump, Afternoon). But, not all of them are published weekly. Yes, many series are published weekly (One Piece, Naruto, etc.). But, there are also series which are published bi-weekly and monthly. Bi-weekly series include Gantz, and Berserk (when Miura is actually working on it). And you mentioned My Balls, which is a series that is published monthly.

Back in my day, you bought a HUEG VHS with only three episodes on it for 45 dollars. I can't believe that I can get a whole series for that price now.

On a sidenote, Shonen Jump is simply Jump in Japan.

I watch more than I read because I don't feel like buying the manga when I can borrow or rent anime. Also, it's easier to follow the plot if it's in motion and you can hear the characters.
My exception is Rurouni Kenshin: the manga is better than the anime.

Haha, oh man, I still have like.... a box of VHSs laying around somewhere. I used to spend all the money I got as a kid buying up VHSs.

And Shounen jump is called "Weekly Shounen Jump" in Japan. There's a lot of manga publication magazines that have "Jump" in them (Monthly Shounen Jump, Weekly Young Jump, Super Jump, Ultra Jump, etc.) They're all published by Shueisha, though.

I do both things. I watch anime until I can't find anything suitable and then I watch manga,because there is many suitable mangas(I mean I'm picky). But when I get bored because of no colors and no sounds I start looking for anime again . Well both are interesting

I watch alot more then I read.
For me it is more ease then choice.
It is next to impossible for me to get mangas where I live and they are expensive as well. I can read on the internet but that is hard for my computer and internet service and can be really slow
So for me it is easier to watch anime then read Manga.
I like both though.

Both because the manga alwasy has more in it, also for anime like Loveless where the anime never finished, you have to read the manga to finish the story, and anther thing depending on the yaoi your watching it's almost garentued that the manga is more grahpic but, somtimes it's not.

Because, no matter how cheap box sets are, they are more than I have. <.<
Manga is cheaper for me mainly because it`s free at the library.
Also, I never have the patience to sit around watching anime. But, I can carry my manga with me and stop whenever I feel like it!

When I do buy manga, I buy it at half price books because, obviously, it`s half price.

Also where I get anime. I buy dvd by dvd because I have a total of $10 in my pocket half the time $15 at most. So, I buy the anime I want for only $5! yay! At most, I buy it for $8. >.< yup. If I`m ever really rich, I may get it for $15! But, probably not.

Oh, box sets there are also usually $30.

I watch more Anime, but I do read manga that interest me. Im currently reading Trigun(Maximum), Hellsing, and Berserk.

I like to watch animes then to read. Reading manga is also something i do but not on that level as much i watch animes with great interest. More fun in watching for me.

I generally prefer to watch animes, but reading manga is really enjoyable too. Some mangas are so pretty to look at! Also, it's possible for more detail to be put in the manga, so I feel it's worth to take a look at the manga for whatever anime you're into.

I prefer to read manga first, and then if I watch anime and find out it has horrible voices, then just go to the manga..

'Cause we all know that when you read manga you look at the specific character, and you manage to "hear" the actions of the voice, you depict them with an awesome vocal, however, if it's in anime, it's very differ from anime-manga, that's why I usually to read the manga first the judge anime.

I don't think i've ever read manga.I've tried but i just don't like to read something like that (manga,book etc) on my screen.I prefer to hold it in my hands and just switch from page to page without having to zoom in , out move it a bit to the left or right.The problem is manga isn't very popular in my country so i can't really buy it

Same. For me, 'anime' and 'TV shows' are synonymous. I never really had any interest in comics or the like (a category in which I include manga).

I read just as much magna as I watch anime. I find reading the magna is usally better than watching the anime, especially in longer series because you can avoid filler. A lot of times the anime and magna take two different roads in telling a story like in Black Cat or Chrono Crusade the magna and anime end completely different. So I like to do both.

When it comes to anime I do watch rather than read because I am not that type who likes to read since I have this bad eyesight now so I rather like to see anime

I do both but what I actually do more is read the manga, and this is for two reasons:

1. Its less expensive most of the time
2. I like books and usually the artwork in the manga is more detailed than in the anime versions of said manga and idk... i just like it better!
