i get mistaken for being 10 or 13 all the time due to hight and weight and i am 18
Yes. The time that sticks out the most to me though was once when I went to the dentist. The lady cleaning my teeth thought I was 14. At the time I was 18. I was like wtf? If I was 14 I wouldnt have driven myself there. Silly lady.
It's awesome to be me. Most people think I'm like anywhere between 4-8 years younger than I really am.
People have trouble figuring out my age on both ends. I have been very carefully carded when buying cigarettes to the point where the the cashier accused me of having a fake i.d. On the other hand I have gone to buy alcohol and the cashier never even bothered to card me. Most often I get mistaken for about 30 years old, or 17 years old... It makes no sense to me, but that is what happens O_o.
The other day, a gentleman got my age wrong. He guessed I was 15. Hehe, gotta love those Asian genes. My niece even tells me I look young and innocent, but it's definitely not like that lol. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but the worst I ever got was someone guessed I was turning 14. This happened about 3 months ago, a little before I turned 20.
For guys though, looking young can be a pain in the *** in the workplace.
Face-to-face i often am told i look 15-23. Someone even thought i was my moms sister T.T
wow! I envy you guys! people think you're younger... me, they think I'm older...
when I was 17 years old, people insisted that I looked like a 23-year old...
Yup. Just yesterday my cousin said she was supriesed to see me going to the prom.
She tought I was two years younger!
^ I am not surprised by that you have such a youthful energy about you. ^^
I have always looked a few years older than I am...or so I have been told, personally I don’t see it.
As a result people always get my age wrong I even had someone say I was 30 once...that made me sad lol.
when i was 10-13 everyone thought i was like 2 years younger than i was. but 14-16 (just turned 16 yay) i get commonly misconceived on someone who is older than i actually am
When you're a teen, you never look like your real age. I've noticed that quite a bit. As for me, my friends say I look about 22ish, which is a little older then I really am. I had somebody think I was 30 when I was actually 16. To be fair, I was wearing a tux at the time, and come on, what man doesn't look older in a tux? Anyway, when I went to high school, I remember seeing a freshman who looked like he was in his mid 20s and I swear he was and probably the tallest person in the school.
Sidestory... My biggest annoyance is trying to figure out the differences of young kids. I haven't the slightest idea of even stereotypical differences between kids who are, say, 10 and 7. Is there even any real emotional, mental, physical, differences between does ages? Considering how fast a child grows, you would think there would be. Basically my brain works like this, 6 and bellow, it's just some normal physical and mental, common sense growth. 7-11??????? 12ish 13ish is when puberty hits. Why I even think about this? Well, I'm working on a book and I'm having a hard time deciding on the age of a young girl and because I have decided that at least a small bit of the story would be told in her eyes, it's kinda important the differences of what a seven year old and what a ten year old can comprehend. Anyway, the actual side story is when I randomly said, "I'm looking for pictures of lil kids.." to a friend before mentioning anything else, and he looked at me in a really funny way.
At the uni everyone thinks I'm around 23 when I'm still 17 and a half
When I started my job, everyone I worked with thought I was atleast 30. Kind of blew their minds when I said I was only 21.
I person people tend to think I am 2-3 years old then my true age ;w;.
Online people almost always get it rigith C:.
Yea the same with me, people mistake me for a 16 or 17 year old. One time i was asked by one of my cousin's wife if i was gona have a quincenera (sort of like a sweet 16), and i was like no im 19, and she was oh im sorry i didnt know. XD . But yeah now im 20 and i also dont smoke. And Im Mexican, most look older than their actual age.
People always say that i look like I'm 22 or 23 even though I'm actually 19.
According to humanity, my age jumps around. It's weird.
Most of the time people give me more 2 or 3 years but I don´t want that!! I want my real age :)
It goes both ways for me. Most older women think I'm 2-3 years older then I look but some think I'm younger, especially if they're looking at my license. Just turned 22 though.
same with me, people always think I'm 25 or so, I'm Friggin 21 geez =( I'm never gonna find a gf if people think I'mthis old. lol
I'm 23, people mistake me for a 15 year old. Probably because I am short and my face looks young.
People get my age wrong all the time. A few years ago I had people thinking I was about 6-7 years older than I was, but these days it's closer to home.
I wonder how many people on these forums have gotten it wrong so far.
people usually think i am 16-18 when i am actually going to be 21 in just a couple months.
