I agree with you on both posts. Lol xD Unfortunately, it is very true. Twilight just isn't the same as it use to be. I am now in favor of the old school stuff, and the other movies. Heh... Sorry to all of you obsessed and crazed fans. ^^'

All right, I just found this hilarious video. It is a spoof on Twilight. I am not sure what you will think of it, but I thought that I should post it all the same anyway. Lol

my friends were talking bout it for the longest time so now i'm reading it. i'm on book one so far its ok but can't say yet too early.
I just have to say that I read "Twilight" years ago WHEN IT CAME OUT and I think that those who read it now (no offence) are very late in reading the series. I watched the movie (not that great) and there were some girls that came with cameras and the books to the theatre... The books were very good but I do think that Stephenie did take some ideas from other books (read vampire diaries or ann rice you'll see)... Overall, I don't like those that read the books only recently (no offence again) and read the series but don't get obsessed.
Sooo, let me try to understand your last part a bit more. If someone reads the series, and doesn't become obsessed, you hate them? Are you that much of a fan girl or something that you hate all who don't like the books as much as you do? I find that rather stuck-up, if you ask me. O_o;
I seriously do not want to watch, or read the whole madness that is Twilight. As others have said, it's all just softcore pr0n for 13-whatever the other end of that is. I would rather eat 39 lemons, than watch this movie or read the books.
I read the book only because some people who are obsessed with the book kept recommending it. It wasn't that bad, but it's not that great either. The style of writing doesn't really appeal to me much and I found it hard to get past the first few chapters.
Just another fadish book that no one will remember in a few years.
one more word . . . uhg.
Seriously i have never seen this book in shops over here. Was the book released in the UK?
I liked the pretty cover all shiny and stuff but it is a bit lame that everyone likes it because everyone else likes although looking at all the posts on this thread makes its seem like everyone hates it and all the fans are to scared to say they do ( i don't mind if you like I just don't ) it's really just a book fad =_= . . .
Hey now. Despite these hate posts I keep reading about, I went and saw Twilight in theaters today. And dragged my boyfriend along (cruel I know). I found myself entertained at some points. I might pick the book up.
And Edward Cullen is the new Legolas.
Ok, so I saw the movie last night with my sister. And I have to admit, I kind of enjoyed it. I will probably buy the DVD. I mean I did enjoy the first book for it's story/plot, ect, but the writing and some scenes were awful. The movie obviously didn't have the distracting writing style, and got rid of some really dumb scenes (like the whole Bella fainting from Edwards kiss...thankfully they did not put that in the movie). At first I didn't like the movie, but then as things picked up it got better in my opinion. I laughed quite a few times, because some lines were pretty ridiculous. But all in all I liked it. It's funny so many people who are obsessed with the books hated the movie, and I, who am not a big fan actually liked it.

I still have not seen the movie yet, although I do plan on seeing it sometime soon. The people I wanted to go with have a pretty busy schedule, and with the new School Semester coming up here pretty quickly, mine will be as well. But, I am sure we will figure something out. I am really curious into how the Movie turned out; they were having a lot of fun during the filming, so I don't know. It just seems appealing to me.
I am not as big of a fan of Twilight as I was before, but I do like it. I am not obsessed with it, and honestly, in my opinion, Twilight was great before it became so popular. All of the fans were amazing, and everything was more, how could I put this...mellow? I have no idea. Lol I just know that it was SO much better in the early days. Now it is getting way out of hand and becoming ridiculous. Someone was actually bloodied because of the trampling, and all for what? A "Movie Star" to write his name on something for her?
But yes, I do want to see the movie, and I did like the books, but they were not my favorite, and the obsession of it all is getting a little crazed. Heh... ^^' Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't mean to. I was only stating my opinion.

As far as I've heard, the book is amazing and the movie is "okay". I'm gonna start in on the first book tomorrow but I'm already being repelled away from the series because of the amount of fangirls and people who are overly-obsessed with it. Just like Naruto >>;
The books are bland and boring. There is no build up to Edward and Bella's romance, it's just BAM! In love within, what, 6 [maybe less; can't remember] chapters? The two love each other for these reasons.
Edward - She smells good.
Bella - He's hot!
That's as basic as it gets. If anyone wants to correct me, go right ahead, because I know no one can.
The actual writing and description is pretty basic and doesn't give the reader a vivid image, and while many argue this leaves room for the imagination, I believe it leaves a lot to be desired.
The lead, Bella, is a terrible role-model for girls reading the book. Even though this is to a small extent, many girls will start getting the sense that their prince charming will just come along and fall in love with them and they'll have fun and kiss and have sex and no consequences. And, like I said, to a small extent. But still, that's there.
And do not get me started on the dreadful, awful, horrifying Twilight fangirls. I wish each one of them would Die slowly and painfully in a fiery car crash
Like Fiery said, 12 year old girl fanfictions are better when it comes to writing, build up, and reality. It seems Meyer just wanted to make a quick buck with the book, really.
In summary:
The Cat in the Hat is more entertaining than awful, terrible Twilight.
I read the first one and didn't like it much at all.
I never read the book, but my friend strongly suggest me to read the book AND watch the movie. Sounds like the movie is really good! It's not the matter of book or movie, but the story sounds interesting. I've seen the poster, Edward is so hott looking o.o And I heard about his driving <3
I love the book, Twilight. I had just started reading it yesterday.
Twilight is so Mary-Sueis it's not funny. Bella's description of her physical appearance seems to match what Stephenie Meyer looks like, and the whole thing, in the words of Edward's actor, is like Meyer's personal romantic/sexual fantasy made public.
I find it unsettling that so many young girls read it. They're too young to see that Edward is a rather controlling creep, and might get the idea that it's okay to do so as long as it's for looove.
WOW! i think the book and movie wuz awesome. the actors that played the charactes from the book matched the book characters perfectly
Oh lord, a lot of weird sexual things happen in Anne Rice's novels. I don't even want to go into it. But in my opinion, they're better than this Twilight trash any day. Not even the movie looks good. I read the first book and then self-mutilated myself for wasting those precious hours.
Oh gosh, I see so many gals in my school carring that book around =.=' But since they say it's pretty good, I think I'm gonna read it too. And bout to watch the movie as well.
Big time Mary Sue! It's kinda creepy...Quote:
